Description

Leukoplast Cutisoft Wipes (also marketed as Leukoplast Wet Wipes) are individually wrapped pre-injection skin cleansing wipes. Each non-woven viscose swab (3 cm x 3 cm) is impregnated with a 70% v/v isopropyl alcohol solution for rapid topical disinfection of intact skin at the injection site. Supplied as a box of 100 single-use wipes, they are intended to cleanse the skin, lower the bacterial load and help reduce the risk of contamination prior to injections.

Indications

Usage

  • Use only on intact, healthy skin and only externally.
  • Open one sachet immediately before use and remove the wipe.
  • Wipe the intended injection site thoroughly to cleanse the skin.
  • Allow the skin to air-dry completely before performing the injection.
  • Use each wipe once only; do not reuse.
  • Do not use on open wounds, broken, irritated or damaged skin.
  • Avoid contact with eyes, mucous membranes and large areas of skin.
  • If irritation or redness develops, discontinue use and seek medical advice.
  • Dispose of used wipes and sachets according to local clinical or household waste regulations.

Contraindications

  • Known hypersensitivity or allergy to isopropyl alcohol or any component of the wipe
  • Use on open wounds, broken skin or mucous membranes
  • Use on eyes or peri-ocular area
  • Use on large areas of skin for prolonged periods, especially in infants or highly sensitive individuals

Adverse Effects

  • Possible transient stinging or burning sensation at the application site
  • Local skin irritation, dryness, redness or contact dermatitis in sensitive individuals
  • If signs of persistent irritation, allergic reaction or worsening skin condition occur, discontinue use and seek medical advice

Storage Conditions

  • Store in a cool, dry place at normal room temperature.
  • Keep away from direct sunlight.
  • Keep the product dry and in its original carton until use.
  • Do not use if individual sachets are damaged or opened.
  • Keep out of the reach of children.
  • As an isopropyl alcohol-containing product, keep away from sources of ignition and excessive heat.

Duration

Single-use per application. Used immediately before each injection according to local protocols; no defined multi-day treatment course.

Rapid topical action within seconds of application and drying, consistent with 70% isopropyl alcohol skin cleansing.
