Description
Box of 100 professional 70% IPA (isopropyl alcohol) pre-injection swabs supplied under the Medisave Professional brand. Each individually wrapped, non-woven swab is impregnated with 70% isopropyl alcohol solution for rapid skin disinfection prior to injections or minor procedures. Manufactured for Medisave to the same specification as Robinsons Healthcare RB5885 pre-injection swabs.

Indications
- Skin cleansing and disinfection prior to intramuscular, subcutaneous or intradermal injection
- Pre-injection site preparation in aesthetic procedures (e.g. dermal fillers, toxins, microneedling)
- General small-area skin degreasing and cleansing prior to minor procedures where alcohol swabs are appropriate

Formulation

Usage
- Tear open the sachet immediately before use and remove the swab.
- Apply the swab to the intended injection site using firm strokes to cleanse the area thoroughly.
- Allow the skin to air dry completely before inserting the needle or performing the procedure.
- Single use only; discard swab and sachet in appropriate clinical waste after use.
- Do not reuse on another patient or another site.
Contraindications
- Known hypersensitivity or allergy to isopropyl alcohol or other alcohols.
- Do not apply to large, extensively damaged, or heavily bleeding wounds unless directed by a healthcare professional.
- Avoid contact with mucous membranes, eyes, and mouth.
- Not recommended for prolonged or repeated use on very sensitive or compromised skin without professional supervision.
- Highly flammable: keep away from open flames, ignition sources, and hot surfaces during use.
Adverse Effects
- Transient stinging or burning sensation at the application site.
- Local skin irritation, dryness or redness with repeated use.
- Allergic contact dermatitis in individuals sensitive to isopropyl alcohol.
- Very rare risk of more severe hypersensitivity reactions.
Storage Conditions
- Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat sources.
- Keep container tightly closed until use; do not open sachets in advance.
- Store away from open flames, sparks and other sources of ignition (flammable preparation).
- Keep out of reach of children.
