  • Supplied with an integrated touchless NEXA dispenser for 750 ml Spirigel Complete alcohol hand sanitiser (023155), promoting high hand-hygiene compliance.
  • Touchless operation reduces cross-contamination risk by eliminating the need for direct hand contact with the dispenser.
  • LED battery indicator and long battery life (30,000+ doses) minimise downtime and reduce maintenance frequency.
  • Constant dose output ensures consistent delivery of sanitiser per activation for reliable hand hygiene.
  • Batteries can be changed easily without tools, simplifying maintenance for facilities staff.
  • Easy-clean surfaces support infection control routines and help maintain a professional appearance.
  • Anti-drip pump mechanism pulls back excess product to reduce mess and floor contamination.

Usage

  • Position the stand on a flat, stable surface in the desired location (e.g., reception area, entrance, corridor) ensuring it does not obstruct exits or walkways.
  • Assemble the pedestal and dispenser housing according to the installation instructions, securely fixing all components.
  • Open the dispenser front cover and insert a compatible 750 ml Spirigel Complete alcohol hand sanitiser cartridge (ref 023155), following the indicated orientation.
  • Ensure batteries are installed correctly (polarity and type as specified) and confirm that the LED indicator shows adequate charge.
  • Close the dispenser front cover; if enhanced security is required, fit an optional NEXA lock and key kit (ref 023165) so the front can only be opened using the key.
  • Prime the dispenser if required by triggering a few test doses into a tissue or sink until consistent product flow is obtained.
  • Instruct users to place one hand under the nozzle to activate the touchless sensor; allow the device to deliver the pre-set dose and rub hands thoroughly until dry.
  • Include the stand in regular cleaning schedules: wipe down all external surfaces with suitable disinfectant wipes or solutions recommended for Ecolab/NEXA equipment.
  • Monitor cartridge levels and replace Spirigel Complete refills as needed to ensure continuous availability of hand sanitiser.
  • Check the LED battery indicator regularly; replace batteries promptly when indicated, using the tool-free battery change procedure described in the instructions.
  • Periodically inspect the anti-drip pump area and surrounding surfaces for residue; clean if necessary to maintain an orderly appearance.
  • If the stand is moved, ensure it is repositioned on a stable, level surface and that cables or obstructions do not create trip hazards.

Contraindications

  • Do not use in locations where free-standing equipment could cause obstruction to emergency exits or present a trip hazard in confined walkways.
  • Not suitable for use with incompatible refill formats or brands that are not designed for the NEXA 750 ml Spirigel Complete dispenser system.
  • Do not use in environments where exposure to excessive moisture, corrosive chemicals or outdoor weather conditions could damage the electronics or structure, unless specifically approved by the manufacturer.
  • Individuals with known sensitivity to alcohol-based hand sanitisers should avoid using the Spirigel product dispensed from this stand; alternative hand hygiene products should be provided as needed.
  • Do not allow children to climb on, push or destabilise the stand, as this may cause tipping or injury.

Adverse Effects

  • No direct medical adverse effects are associated with the stand itself; any skin reactions are related to the alcohol hand sanitiser formulation (e.g., dryness, irritation, allergic reaction) rather than the hardware.
  • Improper placement or inadequate securing of the stand may lead to tipping or collision, potentially causing minor injury or damage to property.
  • Spills or drips from incorrect use or malfunction may create slip hazards if not promptly cleaned.
  • Incorrect handling of batteries (e.g., leakage, short-circuiting) could pose minor chemical or electrical risks; used batteries must be disposed of appropriately.
  • If the stand or dispenser is damaged (e.g., cracked housing, exposed wiring), continued use may present electrical or mechanical hazards and the unit should be taken out of service until repaired or replaced.

Storage Conditions

  • Use and store the stand indoors in a dry, temperature-controlled environment within the range specified by the manufacturer (typical room temperatures).
  • Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, excessive heat sources, or high humidity that may degrade plastics, finishes or electronic components.
  • If the stand is placed in an unheated or intermittently used area, ensure environmental conditions remain within recommended limits to protect the electronics and sanitiser.
  • When not in use for extended periods, remove Spirigel cartridges and batteries according to the manufacturer’s instructions, and store them separately per their own storage guidelines.
  • Clean the stand before storage and protect it from dust, moisture and impact (e.g., by covering or placing in a secure storeroom).
  • Ensure the stand is transported upright and handled carefully to avoid mechanical damage to the pedestal and dispenser housing.

Duration

Not applicable. The NEXA Reception Stand is a durable, reusable device intended for continuous use as part of ongoing hand hygiene and infection control measures.
