Description

Pack of 200 Medisanitize 70% Alcohol Wipes are single-use nonwoven wipes pre-saturated with a 70% isopropyl alcohol (IPA) solution for rapid disinfection of hands and non–alcohol-sensitive hard surfaces. Supplied in a convenient flow-pack format, these antibacterial wipes are designed for quick, effective cleaning and sanitising in healthcare, aesthetics, office, and home environments. The 70% IPA formula kills 99.99% of common germs and bacteria, providing convenient on-the-go infection control at a low per-wipe cost.

Usage

  • Open the pack at the designated resealable opening or plastic cap and remove a single wipe.
  • Ensure the pack is resealed immediately after removing a wipe to minimise evaporation and prevent the remaining wipes from drying out.
  • For surfaces: thoroughly wipe the area to be cleaned and disinfected, ensuring full coverage with the pre-saturated wipe.
  • Allow the surface to air dry completely; do not wipe dry with a separate cloth, as a defined contact time is needed for disinfection (typically a few tens of seconds to a few minutes, depending on local protocol).
  • For hands (on intact skin): wipe all surfaces of the hands and fingers with the wipe, ensuring full coverage; allow hands to air dry and avoid rinsing off the product.
  • Use each wipe only once and discard after use; do not return used wipes to the pack.
  • Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes. In case of eye contact, rinse cautiously with water for several minutes and seek medical advice if irritation persists.
  • Do not use on broken or irritated skin or in individuals with known sensitivity to isopropyl alcohol or other components.
  • Keep away from open flames, heat sources and sparks – the wipes and vapours are highly flammable due to the 70% alcohol content.
  • Dispose of used wipes and empty packaging in accordance with local regulations; do not flush wipes down toilets.

Contraindications

  • Known hypersensitivity or allergy to isopropyl alcohol (IPA) or any other components of the formulation.
  • Use on broken, damaged or diseased skin, where high-strength alcohol may cause irritation or stinging.
  • Use on alcohol-sensitive surfaces or materials (e.g. some plastics, painted, lacquered or varnished surfaces, acrylic screens, certain rubberised finishes) where alcohol may cause damage, crazing or discolouration.
  • Use near open flames, hot surfaces, sparks or other ignition sources due to the high flammability of the 70% alcohol solution.
  • Prolonged or repeated use on sensitive skin areas, especially in people with dermatitis or very dry skin.
  • Use in enclosed or poorly ventilated areas without adequate ventilation where vapour build-up could cause irritation or dizziness.

Adverse Effects

  • Eye irritation and possible serious eye damage if the alcohol solution comes into direct contact with the eyes.
  • Skin dryness, irritation or redness with frequent or prolonged use on the hands or other skin areas.
  • Respiratory irritation, drowsiness or dizziness due to inhalation of high concentrations of isopropyl alcohol vapour in poorly ventilated spaces.
  • Local irritation or discomfort on sensitive or compromised skin.
  • In the event of accidental ingestion, irritation of the gastrointestinal tract and systemic effects associated with isopropyl alcohol may occur; seek urgent medical advice.
  • As with all flammable alcohol products, misuse or use close to ignition sources can lead to fire or burns.

Storage Conditions

  • Store in a cool, well-ventilated place away from direct sunlight and sources of heat, sparks or open flame.
  • Keep the pack tightly closed or properly resealed when not in use to prevent evaporation of alcohol and drying of wipes.
  • Store at normal room temperatures as indicated on the packaging; avoid high temperatures that may increase vapour pressure and fire risk.
  • Keep out of the sight and reach of children.
  • Do not smoke near the product and do not store with strong oxidising agents or incompatible chemicals.
  • Dispose of empty packaging and expired product in accordance with local regulations for flammable and chemical waste.
