Description

Sani cloth 50 wipes Canister for Hard Surface 200x200mm EOL are PDI Sani-Cloth Chlor low-lint chlorine hard surface wipes supplied in a convenient canister of 50 wipes. Each wipe measures approximately 200 x 200 mm and is impregnated with a stable chlorine solution based on sodium hypochlorite, providing a sporicidal disinfectant action. The wipes are designed for cleaning and disinfecting hard surfaces and certain non-invasive medical devices in clinical environments, offering broad-spectrum efficacy including spores in as little as 1 minute when used as directed.

Composition

  • Impregnating solution active ingredient: >5400 ppm sodium hypochlorite (available chlorine).
  • <1% anionic surfactants (detergent) in the impregnating solution.
  • Low-lint non-woven wipe substrate.

Formulation

  • Pre-impregnated low-lint non-woven wipes containing a stabilized aqueous sodium hypochlorite solution with surfactant, supplied in a resealable plastic canister.

Usage

  • Check that the product is within its expiry date and the canister seal is intact before first use.
  • Open the canister, pull the first wipe through the dispensing aperture and reseal the lid after dispensing to prevent drying.
  • Use a fresh wipe to thoroughly wet the surface, ensuring complete coverage; pay particular attention to high-touch areas.
  • Allow the surface to remain visibly wet for the recommended contact time (typically at least 1 minute for sporicidal activity, or as per local policy and product labelling).
  • Dispose of used wipes as clinical or domestic waste in accordance with local regulations; do not flush wipes.
  • Do not rinse the surface unless specifically required by device manufacturer guidance.
  • Wash hands or use appropriate hand hygiene procedures after completing cleaning and disinfection.
  • Always follow local infection-control policies and any additional instructions on the canister label.

Contraindications

  • Not for use on skin, open wounds or mucous membranes.
  • Not suitable for ingestion or use as a hand or body wipe.
  • Avoid use on surfaces or medical devices that are incompatible with chlorine or sodium hypochlorite (e.g. some metals, textiles, soft furnishings, or electronics) without confirming compatibility.
  • Do not mix with other cleaning agents, especially acids or ammonia-based products, as this may release hazardous chlorine gas.
  • Do not use if wipes appear dry or the canister seal has been compromised prior to first use.

Adverse Effects

  • Prolonged or repeated contact with solution may cause skin irritation or dryness; gloves are recommended for frequent use.
  • Eye contact with solution may cause irritation and should be avoided; rinse thoroughly with water if accidental contact occurs.
  • Inhalation of vapours or aerosols generated from misuse (e.g. mixing with other chemicals) may cause respiratory irritation.
  • May cause fading, corrosion or damage to incompatible materials or surfaces if used contrary to manufacturer advice.

Storage Conditions

  • Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and sources of heat.
  • Keep canister tightly closed when not in use to prevent wipes from drying out and to maintain product stability.
  • Store in the original container and upright to avoid leakage.
  • Do not store near acids, ammonia-based products or other incompatible chemicals.
  • Use within the period recommended on the label after opening (often within approximately one month) and before the printed expiry date.
