Description
Avène Cold Cream is a rich, nourishing protective cream intended for dry to very dry and sensitive skin. Based on a traditional cold cream formula updated by Avène, it combines mineral oil, white beeswax and Avène Thermal Spring Water to restore the hydrolipidic film of the skin and shield against external aggressions, while soothing and softening the skin and delivering immediate comfort and hydration.

Usage
- Apply to clean, dry skin.
- Massage gently until fully absorbed.
- Use once or twice daily, or as needed for very dry or chapped skin.
- Can be applied on face, lips, hands, body — especially on areas exposed to cold, wind, dryness.
- For best results, apply after cleansing with a mild cleanser suitable for dry/sensitive skin.
Contraindications
- Known hypersensitivity or allergy to any of the ingredients (e.g. mineral oil, beeswax, fragrance).
- Do not apply on open, bleeding or heavily oozing wounds without medical advice.
- Use externally only; avoid contact with eyes or mucous membranes.
Adverse Effects
- Possible mild irritation, stinging or redness on sensitive skin or in case of allergy to any ingredient (e.g. fragrance, mineral oil).
- Potential comedogenicity for acne-prone skin (due to occlusive oils/waxes) — may clog pores in some individuals.
Storage Conditions
- Store at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and heat.
- Keep tube tightly closed when not in use.
- Protect from extreme temperatures (very hot or freezing conditions).
- Keep out of reach of children.
Duration
Use as needed; for persistent dryness or during cold/dry conditions, apply daily until skin is adequately nourished and comfortable. Long-term maintenance may be used for chronically dry skin.
Onset
Immediate moisturization and protective barrier on application; skin softness and reduced dryness noticeable after first use.
