Description

Avène Solaire Sand Compact SPF 50+ is a very high protection, 100% mineral tinted compact sunscreen specially formulated for intolerant or weakened facial skin. Using only mineral filters (titanium dioxide and zinc oxide), it provides broad-spectrum UVA/UVB protection that is photostable, water-resistant and fragrance-free, with no chemical filters and no parabens. The creamy cream-to-powder texture offers high coverage to camouflage skin imperfections and even out irregular pigmentation, leaving a natural, homogeneous and matte finish. Enriched with Avène Thermal Spring Water and pre-tocopheryl (a vitamin E precursor), it helps soothe the skin and protect cells against free radicals, making it suitable for sensitive, reactive and sun-intolerant skin.

Usage

  • Apply evenly to the face before sun exposure.
  • Using the sponge provided, pick up product and apply all over the face and, if desired, neck to protect and unify the complexion.
  • Blend from the center of the face outwards for an even, natural finish.
  • Reapply frequently, especially in case of prolonged sun exposure, sweating, or after swimming or towel-drying.
  • Avoid sun exposure between 12:00 and 16:00 where possible, and use in combination with protective clothing and shade.
  • Do not stay too long in the sun even while using a sunscreen; overexposure is dangerous, especially for children.

Contraindications

  • Known hypersensitivity or allergy to any of the listed ingredients (including mineral filters, waxes or preservatives).
  • Do not apply to broken, oozing or infected skin without medical advice.
  • Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes; if contact occurs, rinse thoroughly with water.
  • Not intended for prolonged, direct sun exposure in very young children.

Adverse Effects

  • Possible mild irritation, stinging or redness on very sensitive or reactive skin.
  • Rare risk of allergic contact dermatitis to one or more ingredients (e.g. preservatives, waxes).
  • In case of persistent irritation, burning, itching, rash or swelling, discontinue use and consult a healthcare professional.

Storage Conditions

  • Store at room temperature away from direct heat and sunlight.
  • Keep compact tightly closed when not in use to prevent product drying or contamination.
  • Avoid exposure to extreme temperatures (very hot or freezing conditions).
  • Keep out of the sight and reach of children.

Duration

Use during periods of sun exposure; apply 15\u201320 minutes before exposure and reapply at least every 2 hours, as well as after swimming, sweating or towel-drying. Intended for regular use on days with UV exposure.
