Description

Avène Solar Gold Compact SPF 50+ (Haute Protection Compact Teinté Doré SPF 50) is a very high protection, 100% mineral tinted compact sunscreen specifically formulated for intolerant, weakened or hypersensitive facial skin. Using only mineral filters (titanium dioxide and zinc oxide), it offers broad-spectrum protection against UVA and UVB (short and long) rays, is photostable, water-resistant, and free from chemical filters, parabens and fragrance. The gold (doré) tinted cream-to-powder texture provides high coverage to conceal skin imperfections and irregular pigmentation, leaving a natural, homogeneous and matte complexion. Enriched with Avène Thermal Spring Water and pre-tocopheryl (vitamin E precursor), it soothes sensitive skin while providing antioxidant cellular protection.

Usage

  • Apply evenly to the face before sun exposure.
  • Using the sponge provided, pick up the product and apply all over the face and, if desired, the neck to protect and unify the complexion.
  • Blend from the centre of the face outwards for an even, natural coverage.
  • Reapply frequently in cases of prolonged sun exposure, and always after swimming, sweating or towel-drying.
  • Avoid exposure between 12:00 and 16:00 where possible; use in combination with protective clothing and shade.
  • Do not stay in the sun for too long, even when using a sunscreen; sunburn is dangerous, especially for children.

Contraindications

  • Known hypersensitivity or allergy to any of the listed ingredients (including mineral filters, waxes, or preservatives).
  • Do not apply to broken, oozing or infected skin without medical supervision.
  • Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes; if contact occurs, rinse thoroughly with clean water.
  • Not a substitute for protective clothing or limiting exposure in very young children or highly photosensitive individuals.

Adverse Effects

  • Possible mild irritation, stinging or redness on very sensitive or reactive skin.
  • Rare risk of allergic contact dermatitis to one or more components (e.g. preservatives, waxes, antioxidants).
  • If significant or persistent irritation, rash, itching, swelling or discomfort occurs, discontinue use and consult a healthcare professional.

Storage Conditions

  • Store at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and heat sources.
  • Keep the compact tightly closed when not in use to preserve texture and hygiene.
  • Avoid exposure to extreme temperatures (very high heat or freezing conditions).
  • Keep out of the sight and reach of children.

Duration

Use during periods of sun exposure; apply 15\u201320 minutes before going into the sun and reapply at least every 2 hours and after swimming, sweating or towel-drying. Intended for regular use on days with UV exposure.
