Description

Medik8 Ultimate Recovery™ Bio-Cellulose Mask is an intensely hydrating mineral sheet mask designed to visibly restore dry, irritated or post-treatment skin. Each ultra-thin bio-cellulose mask is infused with a lightweight serum rich in hyaluronic acid, zinc PCA and mineral-rich rockweed algae extract to soothe, nourish and replenish the complexion. The bio-cellulose fibres create a second-skin veil that hugs facial contours, locking in moisture and helping active ingredients penetrate effectively. Fragrance-free and alcohol-free, the mask is suitable for even very sensitive skin and is widely used by skincare professionals as a post-procedure S.O.S treatment and as a weekly hydration boost.

Usage

  • Use after cleansing and toning the skin.
  • Open one foil sachet and carefully unfold the bio-cellulose mask.
  • Peel away one side of the protective outer mesh layers.
  • Apply the exposed bio-cellulose side to the face, aligning with eyes, nose and mouth.
  • Smooth gently over the skin to ensure full contact and remove air bubbles.
  • Peel off the remaining outer protective layer so that only the bio-cellulose mask remains on the skin.
  • Leave on for up to 15 minutes, or as directed by your skincare professional.
  • Gently remove the mask and discard after single use.
  • Massage any remaining serum into the face, neck and décolletage until absorbed; do not rinse.
  • Use as a weekly hydrating treatment or whenever skin needs extra soothing and moisture, including after suitable professional treatments when advised.
  • If you have very reactive or allergy-prone skin, a patch test is recommended before full-face use.

Contraindications

  • Known allergy or hypersensitivity to any of the listed ingredients (e.g. hyaluronic acid, zinc PCA, phenoxyethanol, algae or botanical extracts).
  • Broken, infected, bleeding or severely compromised skin in the intended treatment area, unless specifically approved by a healthcare professional.
  • Use with caution on highly reactive skin conditions (e.g. active eczema, severe rosacea flares) without professional guidance.
  • Not designed for application on mucous membranes, on or very close to the eyes, or on the lips.
  • Post-procedure use should only be undertaken once the treating practitioner confirms it is appropriate for the specific treatment and healing stage.

Adverse Effects

  • Transient mild tingling or increased warmth on application in some users.
  • Temporary redness or flushing, particularly on very sensitive skin.
  • Rarely, irritation, stinging or burning may occur; if this happens, remove the mask immediately and rinse with cool water.
