Face & Body Moisturiser / PHA Lotion
Description
NeoStrata Bionic Lotion 200ml is a high-strength, anti-ageing moisturiser for face and body formulated with a 15% Polyhydroxy Acid (PHA) blend (12% gluconolactone and 3% lactobionic acid) plus Vitamin E. The lightweight, fragrance-free lotion is designed for dry to extremely dry, sensitive and eczema-prone skin. PHAs attract and bind moisture to the skin, gently exfoliate rough, flaky areas and help smooth texture, while antioxidants help protect against environmental and oxidative damage. Clinically shown to improve dryness, redness and flaking associated with eczema, it is suitable as an adjunct to drying topical treatments and for pre- and post-procedure skincare.
Bnefits
- High-strength 15% PHA blend (12% gluconolactone, 3% lactobionic acid) provides intense hydration and gentle exfoliation for dry, rough and flaky skin.
- Lightweight, fragrance-free lotion texture ideal for patients who need rich moisturisation without a heavy cream feel.
- Clinically shown to improve dryness, redness and flaking associated with eczema on face and body.

- Helps smooth and refine skin texture on face, hands and body, leaving skin softer and more supple.

- Can be used on both face and body, simplifying routines for patients with widespread dryness or eczema.
- pH-balanced (around pH 3) to optimise PHA activity while maintaining tolerability.

- Suitable for use on areas of dry, rough, flaky or eczema-prone skin, including face and body.
- May be used as adjunctive care when using drying topicals or around cosmetic procedures, in accordance with clinician guidance.
- Avoid direct contact with eyes; if contact occurs, rinse thoroughly with water.
- Introduce gradually if skin is very sensitive; reduce frequency if any irritation occurs.
Contraindications
- Known hypersensitivity or allergy to gluconolactone, lactobionic acid, Vitamin E or any other ingredients in the formulation (including parabens or sulfites).
- Do not apply to broken, actively infected or severely inflamed skin unless directed by a healthcare professional.
- Caution in individuals with a history of reactions to AHA/PHA products; patch-test on a small area before first use.
- As with most acid-containing skincare, caution is advised in patients with very compromised skin barriers post-procedure unless specifically recommended by the treating clinician.
Adverse Effects
- Generally well tolerated; transient stinging or mild irritation may occur, particularly on very dry or compromised skin or with over-frequent use.
- Possible mild erythema, tightness or tingling on initial applications as the skin acclimates to PHAs.
- Rarely, contact dermatitis or allergic reactions (e.g. rash, itching, swelling) may occur; discontinue use and seek medical advice if such reactions develop.
- Because PHAs can mildly increase exfoliation, slight photosensitivity is possible; daily sunscreen use is recommended on exposed areas.
Storage Conditions
- Store at room temperature in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat sources.
- Keep the bottle tightly closed when not in use.
- Do not freeze.
- Use within the period indicated by the expiry date and/or PAO (period-after-opening) symbol on the packaging.

Duration
Intended for ongoing, long-term daily use as part of a moisturising and barrier-supporting skincare routine. Clinical improvement in dryness, redness and flaking associated with eczema is typically maintained with continued regular application.
Onset
Improved hydration and softness are often noticeable within days of twice-daily use, with more marked improvements in dryness, redness and flaking generally evident over 1\u20132 weeks of consistent application.
