Description

NeoStrata Daytime Protection Cream SPF 23 (40g) is a lightweight, oil-free, non-greasy daytime moisturiser that combines a 10% Polyhydroxy/Bionic Acid complex (8% Gluconolactone and 2% Lactobionic Acid) with broad spectrum SPF 23 and Vitamin E. Formulated to reduce visible signs of ageing and protect against further photo-damage, it helps restore and strengthen the skin’s protective barrier, calm irritation and reduce redness. Potent antioxidants, including PHAs, Lactobionic Acid and grape seed extract, scavenge free radicals and help inhibit elastase, supporting youthful skin firmness and elasticity. The cream is oil-free, fragrance-free, PABA-free, non-comedogenic and non-acnegenic, and is suitable for most skin types, including sensitive and redness-prone skin.

Usage

  • Apply liberally to cleansed face and neck every morning, at least 15 minutes before sun exposure.
  • Use as the final step in the morning skincare routine, after serum and before makeup if worn.
  • Ensure even coverage over all exposed areas; reapply as needed, particularly after sweating, swimming or towel-drying, in line with general sunscreen guidance.
  • For sensitive or reactive skin, introduce gradually (e.g. every other morning for the first week) and increase frequency as tolerated.
  • Use daily, even on cloudy days or when mostly indoors, to help protect against incidental UV exposure.
  • Avoid contact with eyes; if contact occurs, rinse thoroughly with water.
  • If irritation or excessive redness occurs, reduce frequency of use or discontinue and consult a skincare professional.

Contraindications

  • Known hypersensitivity or allergy to Gluconolactone, Lactobionic Acid, Vitamin E, grape seed extract, sunscreen filters (e.g. Octinoxate, Titanium Dioxide) or any other component of the formulation.
  • Do not apply to broken, actively inflamed, or infected skin unless directed by a healthcare professional.

Adverse Effects

  • Generally well tolerated; mild and transient stinging, tingling or redness may occur, particularly in very sensitive skin or when first introduced.
  • In rare cases, irritation, dryness or peeling may occur due to the PHA/Bionic complex; if persistent, reduce frequency or discontinue use.
  • Allergic contact dermatitis to one or more ingredients (e.g. sunscreens, preservatives, antioxidants) may occur rarely; discontinue and seek medical advice if signs of allergy (rash, swelling, intense itching) develop.
  • Because the product contains chemical and mineral sunscreens, photosensitivity is not typically increased; however, as with all SPF products, inadequate application or infrequent reapplication may still result in sunburn under high UV exposure.

Storage Conditions

  • Store at room temperature in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat sources.
  • Keep the tube tightly closed when not in use to protect the stability of PHA/Bionic acids, antioxidants and sunscreen filters.
  • Do not freeze.
