Wall-mounted touch-free electronic dispenser (1200 mL)

Description

The PURELL TFX Touch Free Dispenser - 1200 mL is a wall-mounted, battery-powered electronic dispenser designed for use with PURELL TFX 1200 mL hand sanitiser refills (foam or gel). The touch-free sensor automatically dispenses a controlled dose of product when hands are placed beneath the nozzle, helping to reduce cross-contamination from shared touchpoints. With a large 1200 mL capacity, a skylight and extra-large sight window for easy at-a-glance monitoring, the dispenser supports high-traffic locations and reduces refill frequency. It delivers up to approximately 30,000 uses from three standard C-size alkaline batteries, is fully ADA compliant, RoHS compliant and UL/CE registered, and is backed by a three-year performance guarantee. GOJO SANITARY SEALED, SMART-FLEX refill cartridges snap securely into place with an audible click and use less plastic than traditional HDPE bottles.

Bnefits

  • Touch-free, trouble-free dispensing system that helps reduce cross-contamination from shared dispenser surfaces.
  • Automatically dispenses the right amount of foam or gel sanitiser in a single shot for consistent dosing and reduced waste.
  • Large 1200 mL capacity reduces refill frequency, ideal for high-traffic and clinical environments.
  • Skylight and extra-large sight window make it easy to see when it is time to reload.
  • Approximately 30,000 uses from three standard C-size alkaline batteries, supporting long service intervals.
  • LED indicator light shows when battery charge is low, supporting proactive maintenance.
  • Fully ADA compliant and designed with appropriate protrusion and operation characteristics for accessible installation.
  • Refill snaps securely into place with an audible click; GOJO SANITARY SEALED refills help prevent contamination.
  • SMART-FLEX bottle design uses around 30% less material than traditional HDPE bottles and controlled-collapse technology helps bottles maintain shape while emptying.
  • RoHS compliant and UL/CE registered, with a three-year performance guarantee from GOJO.
  • Multiple finishes/colours available (e.g., white, dove grey, nickel) to match facility décor.

Indications

  • Touch-free dispensing of alcohol hand sanitiser in hospitals, clinics, GP and dental practices.
  • Use in care homes, nursing facilities and community health settings to support infection prevention.
  • Hand sanitiser access in workplaces, offices, schools, universities and public buildings.
  • High-traffic areas in hospitality, retail, gyms, transport hubs and other public venues.
  • Installation at key hand-hygiene points: entrances, exits, corridors, outside patient rooms, waiting rooms and restrooms.
  • Facilities standardising on PURELL TFX 1200 mL sanitiser refills requiring a compatible dispenser.

Composition

  • Housing and body: durable plastic (typically ABS or similar engineering plastic) in white/grey or dove grey finish depending on variant.
  • Front skylight and sight window: clear plastic (typically polycarbonate or similar) for visual monitoring of refill level.
  • Internal components: electronic control board, infrared/motion sensor, motor/pump interface, mechanical linkages and nozzle seat designed for PURELL TFX 1200 mL refills.
  • Mounting hardware: wall-mount backplate with adhesive mounting tape and optional screw holes / multiple hole pattern to fit existing fixings.
  • Power: three C-size alkaline batteries (not included with some distributor configurations; included with others depending on region).

Formulation

  • Hardware-only device – no sanitiser included; designed for use with PURELL TFX 1200 mL hand sanitiser refills (foam or gel).
  • Electronic, touch-free dispensing mechanism using an infrared or proximity sensor to detect hands and trigger product delivery.
  • Pre-set dose volume (approximately 1.1–1.2 mL per activation depending on sanitiser formulation) to ensure consistent delivery.
  • Compatible with GOJO SANITARY SEALED, SMART-FLEX 1200 mL refill cartridges, which are factory-sealed and collapse in a controlled manner as they empty.

Packaging

  • Single PURELL TFX Touch Free Dispenser for 1200 mL refills (dispenser only, sanitiser sold separately).
  • Includes adhesive mounting tape; may also be installed with screws/anchors using integral mounting holes (hardware supply may vary by distributor).
  • Some kits from other suppliers include a dispenser plus one 1200 mL refill; the Medisave listing is for the dispenser alone and offers separate qualifying promotions (e.g., buy 3 soaps, get the dispenser free).
  • Typical manufacturer case configuration: 12 dispensers per case (e.g., 2720-12 or 2729-12-EEU00).

Usage

  • Select a suitable wall location at a recommended height that is easily accessible and ADA compliant, such as near doorways, outside patient rooms, or in reception and waiting areas.
  • Clean and dry the surface before mounting. Use the included adhesive mounting tape and/or appropriate screws and wall anchors as per installation instructions.
  • Open the dispenser cover according to manufacturer directions.
  • Install three fresh C-size alkaline batteries in the battery compartment, ensuring correct polarity.
  • Insert a compatible PURELL TFX 1200 mL refill (foam or gel), aligning the nozzle with the dispenser’s pump interface, and push firmly until it snaps securely into place with an audible click.
  • Close the cover firmly. The dispenser will automatically power on and self-check; the LED will indicate normal operation.
  • To use, place hands under the nozzle within the sensor range. The motion sensor will detect the hands and automatically dispense a dose of sanitiser.
  • Rub hands together, covering all surfaces, until the sanitiser has fully dried.
  • Monitor product level via the skylight and sight window and replace the refill when nearly empty.
  • Monitor the LED low-battery indicator; replace batteries when indicated or if dispensing becomes weak or intermittent.
  • If desired, convert to locking mode using the internal key as per GOJO instructions and store the key securely.
  • Clean the external surfaces of the dispenser regularly with a non-abrasive, non-solvent cleaner compatible with plastic surfaces as part of routine environmental cleaning.

Contraindications

  • Not intended for use with non-compatible or bulk-fill products; use only with PURELL TFX 1200 mL refills as specified by GOJO.
  • Do not modify or bypass the electronic or mechanical components, as this may impair performance, compromise safety and void warranties.
  • Not designed for continuous outdoor exposure or very high-moisture environments unless adequate protection is provided and confirmed by the manufacturer.
  • Do not mount directly over electrical outlets or sensitive equipment that could be damaged by accidental leaks or drips resulting from misuse or damage to the refill.
  • Use only with appropriate batteries as specified (C-size alkaline) and do not mix old and new or different brands/types in the same dispenser.

Adverse Effects

  • No direct adverse health effects are associated with the dispenser hardware when used as intended.
  • Improper installation (e.g., on unsuitable surfaces or with inadequate fixings) may result in the dispenser loosening or falling, posing a risk of minor injury or damage to property.
  • Use with incompatible refills or containers may cause leakage, malfunction, or damage to internal components.

Storage Conditions

  • Store uninstalled dispensers in a clean, dry indoor location away from excessive heat, humidity and direct sunlight.
  • Avoid stacking heavy objects on dispenser boxes to prevent deformation of the plastic housing.
  • Once installed, operate within normal indoor temperature and humidity ranges recommended by GOJO.
  • If the dispenser is to be removed from service for an extended period, remove the batteries to avoid leakage and corrosion.
  • Dispose of old batteries in accordance with local regulations and guidance for hazardous or electronic waste.

Duration

Not applicable to the dispenser hardware. Each activation dispenses a single dose of hand sanitiser, with effective antimicrobial action dependent on the specific PURELL formulation used (typically requiring 15\u201330 seconds of hand rubbing until dry). The 1200 mL capacity and battery life support extended use, with refills and batteries replaced as needed.

Onset

Not applicable to the dispenser hardware itself. When used with compatible PURELL Advanced hand sanitiser refills, germ-kill begins immediately upon application, achieving significant reduction of common microorganisms within the contact time specified for the sanitiser (often as little as 15 seconds).
