    Usage

    • Ensure the Welch Allyn tongue blade holder or penlight is switched off and, if applicable, remove batteries before replacing the lamp.

    • Thread the 2.5 V diagnostic lamp (01300-U) into the lamp holder using the screw base until snug; do not overtighten.
    • Avoid touching the glass envelope with bare fingers; if touched, gently clean with a soft, lint-free cloth.
    • Reassemble the instrument, insert or reconnect batteries as per the instrument instructions, and switch on to confirm proper illumination.
    • If the lamp does not illuminate, check battery orientation, battery charge and lamp seating; replace batteries if necessary.
    • Follow the instrument and manufacturer’s instructions for routine cleaning of the device; do not immerse the lamp or instrument head in liquids.
