Electric Dermapen / At-home & Professional Microneedling Device

    Description

Dr. Pen M8S is an upgraded electric microneedling pen designed for at-home and professional skin rejuvenation treatments. Usage

    • Cleanse the treatment area thoroughly, removing all makeup, skincare products, oils and debris; tie hair back away from the face.
    • Disinfect the skin with a suitable antiseptic solution according to professional or manufacturer guidance.
    • Insert a new, sterile, single-use needle cartridge into the pen, ensuring the 3-bayonet lock is properly engaged.
    • Adjust the needle depth on the device dial based on the area being treated and the user’s training/protocol (shallower depths for delicate areas, deeper only where appropriate and safe).
    • Turn on the device and select the appropriate speed level; start at a lower speed and adjust as required according to comfort and protocol.
    • Gently glide the pen over the skin in small sections using light pressure and controlled passes, avoiding staying too long in one spot.
    • Do not use on active acne lesions, open wounds, infections, raised moles, warts or keloid-prone areas.
    • After treatment, apply appropriate post-procedure soothing or hydrating products recommended for microneedling (e.g. sterile hyaluronic acid serum) and avoid harsh actives until the skin has recovered.
    • Discard the used cartridge safely; never reuse cartridges.
    • Follow all aftercare instructions, including avoiding makeup, direct sun exposure, swimming pools, saunas and intense exercise for a period recommended in professional guidelines or the manual.
    • If unsure about safe use, treatment settings or suitability, consult a qualified skincare or medical professional.

    Contraindications

    • Active skin infections, inflammation or open wounds in the treatment area (e.g. active acne, herpes simplex, cellulitis).
    • History of keloid or hypertrophic scarring in the proposed treatment area.
    • Severe chronic skin diseases in the treatment area (e.g. uncontrolled eczema, psoriasis) unless overseen by a dermatologist.
    • Blood clotting disorders or current use of anticoagulant/antiplatelet medications where increased bleeding risk is a concern.
    • Immunosuppression or systemic illness that may impair wound healing, unless cleared by a physician.
    • Pregnancy or breastfeeding, unless a healthcare professional advises otherwise.
    • Use of isotretinoin or other treatments that significantly thin or sensitise the skin within a timeframe not considered safe by clinical guidelines.
    • Known allergy or sensitivity to materials used in the needle cartridges or topical products used alongside treatment.
    • Use on mucous membranes, eyelids, lips (without appropriate training/protocol) or areas with raised moles, warts or skin cancers.

    Adverse Effects

    • Temporary redness, swelling, pinpoint bleeding and mild discomfort in the treated area immediately after the procedure.
    • Skin tightness, dryness or mild flaking/peeling during the days following treatment.
    • Bruising or small petechiae, particularly in sensitive or thin-skinned areas.
    • Risk of infection if aseptic technique is not followed or if post-treatment care is inadequate.
    • Post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, especially in darker skin tones or with overly aggressive depth/speed settings.
    • Exacerbation of underlying skin conditions if used on inappropriate areas or without professional guidance.
    • Rarely, scarring or persistent textural changes if used incorrectly (excessive depth, pressure or frequency).

    Storage Conditions

    • Store the device and accessories in a clean, dry place away from direct sunlight and moisture.
    • Keep the pen in its storage box or case when not in use to protect it from dust and physical damage.
    • Do not expose the device to extreme temperatures or humidity.
    • Ensure the device is turned off before storing and keep away from children or unauthorised users.
    • Store unused needle cartridges in their original sterile packaging until use; do not use if packaging is damaged or opened.

    Duration

Treatment session length typically ranges from around 10\u201330 minutes depending on the areas treated. Courses commonly involve sessions spaced several weeks apart (for example every 3\u20136 weeks) for a series of treatments, with maintenance sessions thereafter as advised by a professional. Exact treatment frequency and duration should follow professional protocols or dermatologist guidance.

    Onset

Some users may notice temporary skin tightening and glow shortly after treatment due to mild swelling and increased circulation. More visible improvements in texture, scarring and fine lines generally develop gradually over several weeks as collagen remodelling occurs, often after multiple sessions.
