Usage

  • Genesis is a professional device and must only be operated by trained healthcare or aesthetic professionals familiar with radiofrequency technology and mesoestetic protocols.
  • Before treatment, carry out a full consultation, review medical history, assess indications/contraindications and obtain informed consent.
  • Select the appropriate program (facial or body) from the 44 pre-set protocols or configure the free programme according to the patient’s needs.
  • Prepare the skin by cleansing and, where indicated, applying the recommended Genesis conductive gel and/or booster ampoules suited to the treatment goal.
  • For the stimulation (RF) phase, choose the suitable RF handpiece (capacitive RF with LED, capacitive RF, or resistive RF) and adjust intensity and treatment parameters within recommended ranges for the chosen program.
  • Apply the handpiece with constant movement over the treatment area, maintaining adequate contact and monitoring patient comfort and skin temperature throughout.
  • For the delivery phase, use the Smart Transcutaneous Drive handpiece and follow the protocol to deliver active ingredients via electrophoroporation and electrophoresis, ensuring correct placement, contact and timing.
  • Use appropriate contact mediums and follow safety instructions to avoid excessive heating or patient discomfort.

Contraindications

  • Presence of active skin infections, open wounds or acute inflammation in the treatment area.
  • Active skin diseases at the treatment site (e.g. active acne, eczema, acute dermatitis) unless specifically cleared by a dermatologist.
  • Pregnancy or breastfeeding, as a precaution due to lack of safety data.
  • Cardiac pacemakers, implanted defibrillators or other active electronic implants.
  • Significant metal implants or prostheses in or near the treatment area where RF energy could interact.
  • Severe systemic illnesses, uncontrolled metabolic or endocrine disorders, or active malignancy, unless cleared by a treating physician.
  • Known sensitivity to electromagnetic fields or history of seizures/epilepsy where RF stimulation may be problematic.
  • Severe circulatory disorders or conditions where increased local temperature is contraindicated.
  • Recent use of photosensitising or skin-irritating treatments in the area that may increase risk of adverse reactions.
  • Patients with significant keloid or hypertrophic scarring tendency should be evaluated cautiously.

Adverse Effects

  • Temporary erythema (redness), warmth and mild oedema in the treated area immediately after treatment.
  • Transient sensations of tingling or heat during application of radiofrequency.
