- Supplied as a single unit (Conditionnement: L'unité / Packaging: to the unit)
- Roller width: 3 cm (LARGEUR 3 CM / Width: 3 cm)
- Professional-use presentation for clinics and aesthetic practices
Usage
- Before first use, clean and disinfect the Skin Cooler Face according to clinic protocol and the general recommendations for reusable non-invasive accessories.
- For an enhanced cooling effect, the roller may be stored in a refrigerator (not freezer) before use, if compatible with clinic hygiene procedures and manufacturer guidance.
- PRE-INJECTION: Apply the cooled roller gently to the facial area to be treated, rolling slowly over the skin to produce a soothing cooling effect and to help calm the skin before injections.
- DURING OR BETWEEN INJECTIONS: The roller may be briefly reapplied between injection series to improve patient comfort, always maintaining appropriate hygiene between contact points.
- POST-INJECTION: After completing the injections, roll the Skin Cooler gently over the treated areas to help reduce redness, warmth and discomfort, according to the practitioner’s judgement.
- BEFORE LASER TREATMENT: Apply a suitable conductive or protective gel to the treatment area, then use the Skin Cooler to spread the gel evenly while providing a cooling massage that may improve local circulation and oxygenation.
- After use on each patient, clean and disinfect the roller using suitable medical-surface or instrument disinfectants in accordance with local infection-control procedures and material compatibility.
- Do not apply excessive pressure on the skin; use gentle to moderate rolling movements, especially on recently treated or sensitive areas.
- Use only by trained healthcare professionals in an appropriate aesthetic or dermatological setting.
Contraindications
- Do not use on areas of broken, infected or ulcerated skin, or on active dermatological conditions where cold application is contraindicated.
- Avoid use on patients with known cold hypersensitivity or conditions aggravated by cold (e.g. cold urticaria, certain vascular disorders) unless clinically justified.
- Do not apply over recent open wounds, active herpes lesions or severe inflammatory dermatoses without specific medical indication.
- Use with caution in patients with impaired skin sensation or peripheral neuropathy, as they may not perceive temperature accurately.
- Not intended for home use by untrained individuals; professional use only is recommended by the distributor context.
Adverse Effects
- Transient skin redness or blanching due to local cold exposure or mechanical pressure from rolling.
- Temporary sensations of numbness, tingling or discomfort if excessive cold or pressure is applied.
- In rare cases, local irritation or sensitivity reactions may occur, especially in individuals with cold intolerance or very sensitive skin.
- Improper hygiene or inadequate disinfection between patients could theoretically increase the risk of cross-contamination or infection.
Storage Conditions
- Store the device clean and dry in a protective container or drawer to prevent contamination and mechanical damage.
- If a stronger cooling effect is desired, store in a refrigerator in accordance with the clinic’s hygiene procedures; avoid storage in a freezer that could damage the device or cause excessive cold on application.
- Keep away from corrosive chemicals or environments that could degrade the metallic surface.
- Ensure that the roller is fully dry after cleaning and disinfection before storage to avoid corrosion.
Duration
Duration of use is procedure-dependent; typically applied for several minutes before injections or LASER treatment and/or for several minutes after the procedure, at the discretion of the practitioner and according to patient comfort.
Onset
Cooling and soothing effects are immediate upon contact of the chilled roller with the skin, with perceived relief typically occurring within seconds to minutes.
