Diode laser hair removal system

Description

The LightSheer DESIRE is a professional-grade 805 nm (nominal) diode laser system designed for permanent hair reduction, vascular lesions, and benign pigmented lesions. It features multiple handpieces (HS, XC, ET) with various spot sizes and integrates advanced technologies — vacuum-assisted high-speed and ChillTip™ contact-cooling — to provide efficient, comfortable treatments across different body areas and skin/hair types. It is widely used in medical aesthetic clinics globally as a reliable hair removal platform.

Bnefits

 • Permanent hair reduction for various body areas
 • Versatility to treat all skin types (I–VI) and a range of hair textures
 • Faster treatment sessions — large areas can be treated quickly with the HS handpiece and vacuum-assisted technology
 • Comfortable treatment experience thanks to ChillTip™ skin cooling and vacuum suction to reduce pain and risk of burns
 • Multi-application potential: besides hair removal — treatment of vascular lesions, benign pigmented lesions, and pseudo-folliculitis barbae (PFB)
 • Cost-effective compared to repeated temporary hair removal methods (shaving, waxing, etc.) over time

Indications

 • Permanent reduction of unwanted hair (face, legs, arms, bikini, back, etc.)
 • Benign pigmented lesions
 • Benign vascular lesions (e.g. telangiectasia, leg veins, angiomas/hemangiomas) depending on configuration
 • Pseudo-folliculitis barbae (PFB) / ingrown hair prevention/treatment

Composition

 • Diode laser arrays (AIGaAs) emitting at 805 nm (nominal) wavelength
 • Sapphire ChillTip™ contact-cooling handpiece tip
 • Vacuum-assisted handpiece (HS) hardware for skin suction and follicle approximation
 • Electronic control console and power supply (100–240 VAC, single-phase)

Usage

 • Operate only by trained, licensed medical / aesthetic professionals in a clinic or medical-spa setting.
 • Select an appropriate handpiece based on treatment area size and hair/skin type (HS for large areas, XC/ET for smaller or sensitive areas).
 • Shave the treatment area prior to laser session; avoid sun exposure before and after treatment.
 • Use built-in cooling (ChillTip™) or vacuum-assisted mode per protocol to maximize comfort and safety.
 • Use protective eyewear for both operator and patient during treatment.
 • Schedule multiple sessions (commonly 6–8, spaced 4–6 weeks apart) to target hair follicles in anagen phase for optimal permanent hair reduction.
 • Post-treatment: advise patient on sun protection and skin care; treat any redness or swelling per standard protocols.

Contraindications

 • Active skin infection, inflammation, open wounds or lesions in treatment area
 • Patients who cannot wear protective eyewear or follow post-treatment care instructions
 • Recent significant sunburn or tanning without adequate washout period (risk of burns or pigmentation)
 • Unrealistic expectations or unwillingness to commit to multiple-session protocol
 • Unsuitable skin conditions as per operator’s judgement (e.g. certain pigmentary or photosensitivity disorders)

Adverse Effects

 • Transient redness, swelling or mild discomfort in treated area
 • Temporary pigmentary changes (hypo- or hyperpigmentation), especially if post-treatment care and sun protection are inadequate
 • Rarely risk of burns, blistering or scarring if used improperly or by untrained operator

Duration

Each session varies depending on treated area — can be as little as 10 minutes for large areas using HS handpiece; full results typically after 6–8 sessions spaced 4–6 weeks apart.

Onset

Hair reduction begins after first few sessions; long-lasting/permanent reduction typically achieved after full course (6–8 sessions). Temporary redness or mild swelling may appear immediately post-treatment but subsides within hours to days.
