  • Model / reference: RS7 Intelli IT, HEM-6232T-E.
  • EAN code: 4015672111172.
  • Distributor reference example (France-Health): 7211117.

Usage

  • Install 2 new AAA alkaline batteries in the battery compartment, observing correct polarity.
  • Wrap the wrist cuff on the bare wrist (left wrist recommended) so that the display is on the inside of the wrist and the cuff edge is 1–2 cm from the palm; do not place over clothing.
  • Fasten the cuff snugly, ensuring there is no gap between cuff and skin and that it does not cover the protruding wrist bone.
  • Sit in a chair with back supported, feet flat on the floor and legs uncrossed. Rest for at least 5 minutes before measurement.
  • Place the elbow on a table so that the wrist is at heart level. Relax the hand and wrist; do not bend or clench the fist.
  • Turn on the monitor and, if using memory, select the correct user ID (1 or 2).
  • Ensure the positioning indicator shows that the wrist is at the correct height and the cuff wrap guide confirms proper fit.
  • Press the START/STOP button. Remain still and silent while the cuff inflates and deflates automatically.
  • Read the systolic and diastolic blood pressure and pulse rate on the display, along with any high blood pressure or irregular heartbeat symbol.
  • For average readings, use the averaging function as described in the instruction manual (e.g. multiple measurements taken within a short period).
  • To sync results with a smartphone, install the OMRON connect app, pair the monitor via Bluetooth following the setup guide, and allow automatic transfer of measurements.
  • After use, press START/STOP to turn off the monitor (or allow auto power-off), remove the cuff, and store the device and accessories in the storage case.
  • Take measurements at the same times each day (e.g. morning and evening) and record readings for review with a healthcare professional.

Contraindications

  • Do not use on infants, toddlers, children or persons who cannot express themselves; the device is intended for adults with wrist circumference 13.5–21.5 cm.
  • Do not use on a wrist with an intravenous line, arteriovenous (AV) shunt, or other intravascular access or where medical treatment is being applied.
  • Do not use on an injured, inflamed, severely scarred or postoperative wrist without medical advice.
  • Use only under medical supervision in patients with severe arrhythmias (e.g. atrial fibrillation), advanced arterial sclerosis, diabetes, pregnancy, or renal disease, as readings may be less reliable.
  • Do not use simultaneously with other medical electrical (ME) equipment or in environments with high-frequency surgical equipment, MRI or CT scanners, or in oxygen-rich/flammable atmospheres.
  • Not validated for use in pregnant patients; consultation with a healthcare professional is required for such use.

Adverse Effects

  • Temporary pressure sensation or discomfort at the wrist during cuff inflation.
  • Occasional minor redness, indentation or skin irritation at the cuff site, especially with frequent measurements or sensitive skin.
