LED examination lamp with flexible gooseneck arm

Description

The Provita 35 Watt Examination Lamp with Flexible Gooseneck Arm – LED is a Series 1 examination light from provita medical, designed to deliver brilliant, non-reflective illumination of the treatment field while meeting and surpassing relevant medical safety regulations. It features a hygienically covered flexible gooseneck for precise positioning, a double-housing cool lamp head with strong metal handle, and a central-reflector LED light source (3 x 1 W, 18 V / 12 W) providing >50,000 lux at 500 mm with excellent colour rendering (Ra ~93, R9 ~90). With a working radius of approximately 800 mm, high light output, long LED life expectancy (>30,000 h) and low maintenance requirements, the lamp is suitable for a wide range of clinical examination environments. Multiple mounting options (wall, rail and mobile stand) make it universally adaptable to different treatment rooms.

Bnefits

  • Brilliant, non-reflective illumination of the treatment field to support accurate clinical examination and diagnosis.
  • High light output (>50,000 lux at 500 mm, ~12,750 lux at 1,000 mm) with focused light field (D10 ~100 / 160 mm at 500 / 1,000 mm).
  • Excellent colour rendering (Ra ~93, R9 ~90) for natural tissue colour reproduction.
  • Energy-efficient LED technology (3 x 1 W, 18 V / 12 W) with long life expectancy (>30,000 hours) and minimal maintenance.
  • Flexible, hygienically covered gooseneck arm for precise, stable positioning with a working radius of approximately 800 mm.
  • Cool double-housing lamp head and strong, stable metal handle for safe and ergonomic adjustment during use.
  • Universally adaptable design with selectable fittings (wall mount, rail mount, fixed-height mobile stand) for different room layouts.
  • All plastic parts are light-resistant and the lamp is designed for complete recyclability at end of life.

Indications

  • General medical and surgical examination lighting in clinics, hospitals and outpatient practices.
  • Use in GP, internal medicine, gynaecology, dermatology and ENT examination rooms.
  • Minor procedures and treatment rooms where a focused, high-quality examination light is required.
  • Supportive illumination in diagnostic, wound-care and treatment settings where accurate colour rendering is essential.

Composition

  • Lamp head with central-reflector LED module (3 x 1 W LED, 18 V / 12 W).
  • Double-housing design to keep the lamp head cool in operation.
  • Flexible gooseneck arm with hygienic covering.
  • Strong metal handle on lamp head for ergonomic positioning.
  • Powder-coated metal components with high stability against discolouration.
  • Protected internal cable routing for improved safety and hygiene.
  • Joint pin Ø 18 mm, length 35 mm for mounting to stands, rails or wall brackets.

Formulation

  • Medical LED examination lamp with central reflector LED technology.
  • High-intensity, focused light beam with colour temperature approximately 4,300 K ± 200 K.
  • Luminous flux around 160 lm with optimised reflector design for examination use.

Packaging

  • Lamp assembly with flexible gooseneck arm and lamp head (approx. 2.6 kg total weight, lamp only).
  • Integrated joint pin Ø 18 mm, length 35 mm for attachment to compatible stands, rails or wall mounts.
  • Supplied with mains power supply suitable for 100–240 V, 50–60 Hz (mount-specific accessories such as stands or wall brackets may be ordered separately, depending on configuration).

Usage

  • Install the lamp using the appropriate fitting (wall mount, rail mount or fixed-height mobile stand) according to the manufacturer’s instructions and local electrical regulations.
  • Ensure the joint pin (Ø 18 mm, L 35 mm) is securely fixed in the chosen mounting accessory before use.
  • Connect to the mains supply (100–240 V, 50–60 Hz) using the supplied power unit; only operate on properly grounded outlets.
  • Switch the lamp on using the switch located at the lamp head; optional 2-step switch/dimmer variants provide additional light-level control where fitted.
  • Adjust the flexible gooseneck arm and lamp head using the metal handle to position the light field over the treatment area; maintain the recommended working distance (typically 500–1,000 mm) for optimal illuminance.
  • Avoid staring directly into the light source and do not direct the beam into patients’ eyes for longer than necessary.
  • Clean and disinfect external surfaces, including the gooseneck and lamp head, using compatible hospital-grade wipes or solutions as specified in the manufacturer’s cleaning instructions; do not allow fluids to enter the lamp head or electrical components.
  • Perform periodic inspection of the cable, joints and mounting points; if damage, looseness or malfunction is observed, remove the lamp from service and have it checked by qualified service personnel.
  • Do not open the lamp head or attempt to service internal electrical components; servicing should only be carried out by authorised technicians.

Contraindications

  • Do not use in explosive atmospheres or in the presence of flammable anaesthetic mixtures or gases unless explicitly approved by the manufacturer and local regulations.
  • Not intended for use as a surgical operating light where specific surgical-grade lighting standards are mandated, unless the configuration fulfils applicable standards.
  • Do not use if the lamp, cable, plug, gooseneck or mounting hardware is visibly damaged or unstable.
  • Use only with approved mounts and accessories compatible with the joint pin Ø 18 mm, L 35 mm to avoid tipping or mechanical failure.

Adverse Effects

  • Temporary visual discomfort or glare if the beam is directed into the eyes of patients or staff at close range.
  • Potential risk of burns or thermal discomfort if non-LED variants or incorrect bulbs are used contrary to specifications (this LED model is designed to operate with low surface temperature).
  • Electrical shock or fire hazard if used with damaged cables, incorrect voltage supply or in environments not compliant with the device’s electrical safety classification.

Storage Conditions

  • Store in a clean, dry indoor environment when not installed or in service.
  • Protect from moisture, condensation and corrosive atmospheres.
  • Avoid mechanical stress, impacts or bending of the gooseneck when transporting or storing the lamp.
  • If shipped or stored before installation, keep in original packaging to protect from dust and damage.
  • Operate and store only within the ambient temperature and humidity ranges specified in the manufacturer’s documentation.

Duration

Provides continuous illumination for the duration of the medical examination or minor procedure; operating time per session is determined by clinical need within the LED\u2019s rated life expectancy (>30,000 hours).

Onset

Immediate \u2013 full illumination is achieved as soon as the lamp is switched on, with no warm-up time required.
