Description

The Coast FL60R is a rechargeable wide-angle flood beam LED headlamp delivering up to 450 lumens of hands-free illumination. Featuring Coast's Flex Charge Dual Power system, it can run either on the included rechargeable lithium-ion battery pack or on standard AAA alkaline batteries. The ultra-wide circular beam is optimised for illuminating large areas, while a front-mounted button lets the user switch quickly between high, medium and low modes. The FL60R is IPX4 weather-resistant, impact resistant and tested to ANSI/FL1 standards, and is supplied with a reflective safety head strap. It is backed by Coast’s lifetime warranty against defects in materials and workmanship.

Usage

  • Fit the adjustable head strap around the head or compatible helmet and tighten for a secure, comfortable fit.
  • Tilt the lamp body to direct the wide-angle flood beam where illumination is required.
  • Press the front power button to switch the light on and cycle between high, medium and low output modes.
  • To recharge, connect a micro-USB cable to the charging port on the lithium-ion battery pack and a suitable USB power source.
  • The rechargeable battery pack may be charged either while installed in the headlamp or removed from the light, as per manufacturer instructions.
  • If using AAA alkaline batteries instead of the rechargeable pack, insert 3 x AAA cells into the designated battery cartridge, observing the correct polarity.
  • After use in wet or dirty environments, wipe the headlamp and strap with a soft cloth and allow to dry before storage.
  • Do not shine the beam directly into eyes at close range and avoid covering the lamp or obstructing ventilation while in use.

Contraindications

  • Not intended for direct, prolonged illumination of eyes at close range.
  • Not designed or certified as intrinsically safe equipment for use in explosive or highly flammable atmospheres.
  • Not a medical treatment device and should not be used as a substitute for regulated medical equipment where such devices are required.

Adverse Effects

  • Temporary eye discomfort or glare if the beam is directed into eyes at close range.
  • Potential skin or pressure discomfort from overtightening the head strap during prolonged use.

Storage Conditions

  • Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and excessive heat.
  • Ensure the headlamp is switched off before storage.
  • If storing for an extended period, remove alkaline batteries to reduce the risk of leakage.
  • Avoid immersing the product in water during storage and keep away from corrosive chemicals.

Duration

Per-charge runtime with the rechargeable lithium-ion pack is typically up to approximately 2 hours 15 minutes on high and up to 10 hours on low; overall device service life depends on usage and care.
