Medical LED examination light
Description
The Daray X200 Rail Clamp Examination Light is a NviroLED medical examination light designed for professional use during medical consultation and diagnosis. It features a high-intensity LED light engine delivering approximately 32,000 lux at 0.5 m, with variable intensity control and excellent colour rendering for natural skin tones. The X200LR configuration is supplied with a rail clamp mount for attachment to a compatible wall-mounted medical rail, along with a flexible gooseneck and pivot base to allow precise positioning of the light-head. Utilising low-power, long-life LEDs (around 50,000 hours), the X200 series provides a low total cost of ownership and incorporates Daray’s smooth, fully enclosed BioProtect antimicrobial-coated head to support infection control.
Bnefits
- High-intensity LED illumination (around 32,000 lux at 0.5 m) for clear examination fields
- Energy-efficient LED technology costing up to approximately 75% less to run than comparable halogen lights
- Long lamp life of around 50,000 hours, reducing maintenance and bulb replacement costs
- Variable light intensity (typically 10–100%) to tailor illumination to examination needs
- Excellent colour rendering for natural skin tones and accurate tissue assessment
- Low heat output and no infrared radiation in the beam, improving comfort for clinician and patient
- Smooth, fully enclosed BioProtect antimicrobial-coated light-head to aid infection control and cleaning
- Flexible gooseneck with pivot base for easy, precise positioning of the light patch
- Rail clamp mount (X200LR) allows the light to be repositioned along compatible wall-mounted medical rails
- Low total cost of ownership and robust construction for demanding clinical environments
Indications
- General medical examination lighting in GP surgeries and outpatient clinics
- Diagnostic examinations requiring focused, high-quality illumination
- Minor procedures and treatments in treatment rooms and consultation rooms
- Use in hospital wards, community clinics and similar healthcare settings where flexible examination lighting is required
- Veterinary or dental examination environments where a compact, rail-mounted LED examination light is suitable (subject to local practice requirements)
Composition
- LED light-head with 3 high-performance white LEDs
- BioProtect antimicrobial-coated, smooth, fully enclosed light-head housing
- Flexible gooseneck arm with pivot base
- Rail clamp mount (for compatible wall-mounted medical rails)
- External plug-top power supply (100–240 V AC input, 12 V DC output)
- Integrated electronic driver and variable intensity control electronics
Formulation
- NviroLED LED examination light with flexible gooseneck arm and rail clamp mounting
- Single-panel LED light engine with approximately 4,300 K colour temperature and high colour rendering index
Packaging
- 1 x Daray X200LR rail clamp LED examination light
- 1 x rail clamp mount for compatible wall-mounted medical rail
- 1 x plug-top power supply (mains adapter)
- User / installation instructions (as supplied by manufacturer)
- Supplied in manufacturer protective packaging suitable for transport
Usage
- Attach the rail clamp securely to a compatible wall-mounted medical rail according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
- Ensure the clamp is tightened so the light assembly is stable and cannot move unintentionally.
- Connect the plug-top power supply to the light and then to a suitable mains outlet (typically 100–240 V AC, 50/60 Hz).
- Switch the light on using the integrated control and adjust the light intensity as required (usually via a variable control on the unit).
- Use the flexible gooseneck and pivot base to position the light-head so the beam is centred on the area to be examined.
- Avoid looking directly into the beam and position the light to minimise glare for the patient.
- After use, switch the light off and, if required by local procedures, unplug from the mains and clean the BioProtect-coated surfaces according to manufacturer and infection-control guidance.
