Description

The Energizer Vision HD+ 3xAAA Headlight is a premium, hands-free LED headlamp delivering up to 350–375 lumens of bright white light in a compact, lightweight design. Featuring 3 white LEDs and 2 red LEDs with spot, flood and combined modes, it offers both powerful direct illumination and wide peripheral vision. Smart dimming on all white modes lets users adjust brightness from 100% down to around 10%, while Next Push Off technology allows the light to switch off without cycling through every mode. A pivoting head directs light exactly where needed and the adjustable elastic headband ensures a secure, comfortable fit. With a shatterproof lens, IPX4 weather resistance and 1 m drop resistance, the Vision HD+ is designed for demanding home, work and outdoor use and comes complete with 3 x AAA Energizer MAX alkaline batteries.

Indications

  • Hands-free lighting for DIY, home and workshop tasks
  • Professional use in medical, EMS, industrial, maintenance and inspection settings
  • Outdoor activities such as camping, hiking, fishing, running and cycling
  • Emergency and preparedness kits where reliable head-mounted lighting is required
  • Night-time reading, navigation and close-up work where adjustable brightness and beam shape are beneficial
  • Situations requiring preservation of night vision using red LED mode

Composition

  • Impact-resistant plastic/polycarbonate headlamp body
  • Shatterproof front lens over LED array
  • 3 white LEDs (high-intensity white light sources)
  • 2 red LEDs for night vision mode
  • Internal LED driver and control electronics with dimming and mode control
  • Rear battery compartment designed for 3 x AAA alkaline batteries
  • Adjustable elastic headband for head or helmet mounting
  • Pivoting hinge mechanism for vertical beam angle adjustment
  • Seals and gaskets contributing to IPX4 water resistance
  • External push-button switch(es) on top/front of the unit for mode selection and dimming control

Formulation

  • Lighting technology: 3 white LEDs + 2 red LEDs
  • Typical maximum output: approximately 350–375 lumens on highest white mode
  • Runtime: around 4 hours on high white mode; extended runtimes on dimmed and low modes (tens of hours depending on mode)
  • Beam distance: up to approximately 80 metres (on high mode)
  • Operating modes (typical): red night vision; high combined spot+flood; low combined spot+flood (dim); spot high; spot low (dim); flood high; flood low (dim)
  • Dimming: Smart/advanced dimming on all white modes, allowing continuous adjustment of brightness between roughly 10% and 100%
  • Next Push Off: after more than ~2 seconds in a mode, the next button press turns the light off instead of cycling to the next mode
  • Power source: 3 x AAA (LR03) alkaline batteries, typically Energizer MAX; nominal 4.5 V DC
  • Ingress protection rating: IPX4 (water-resistant against splashing from any direction)
  • Impact resistance: drop-tested to 1 metre
  • Weight (without packaging): approximately 53 g (headlamp with batteries)
  • Dimensions: roughly 59 mm x 49 mm x 36 mm (headlamp body)
  • Design life: specified to last up to 15 years under typical consumer usage patterns

Packaging

  • Retail blister/card or boxed packaging labelled as Energizer Vision HD+ Headlight / Head Torch
  • Includes 1 x Energizer Vision HD+ LED Headlight
  • Includes 3 x AAA Energizer MAX alkaline batteries (pre-installed or supplied separately in pack)
  • Printed packaging information includes key specifications (lumens, runtime, beam distance, IP rating, drop resistance) and operating instructions
  • Some trade or display packs contain multiple headlamps (e.g., 6 per display tray) while maintaining individual retail units

Usage

  • Remove the headlamp and batteries from the packaging.
  • Open the battery compartment according to the diagram on the pack or markings on the headlamp.
  • Insert 3 x AAA alkaline batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+ and −) as indicated inside the compartment.
  • Close the battery compartment securely to maintain water resistance.
  • Place the headlamp on your head or over a helmet and adjust the elastic headband for a secure, comfortable fit.
  • Press the primary button once for red night vision mode (dimming not available in red).
  • Press the button again to cycle to combined spot + flood high mode; hold the button down in white modes to dim between high and low levels (light flashes at maximum and minimum to indicate dimming range).
  • Subsequent presses cycle through additional white modes such as spot only and flood only; refer to the insert/leaflet for exact mode sequence.
  • After remaining in any mode for more than a couple of seconds, press the button once to turn the light off (Next Push Off).
  • Pivot the headlamp body up or down to aim the beam where needed.
  • Turn off the headlamp when not in use to conserve battery life.
  • Replace the batteries when brightness noticeably decreases.
  • Do not mix old and new batteries or different types/brands; remove batteries if storing the headlamp for long periods.

Contraindications

  • Not certified for use in potentially explosive or intrinsically safe environments (e.g., mines, grain silos, flammable atmospheres).
  • Do not shine the beam directly into eyes at close range, as high-intensity LED light may cause temporary visual disturbance or discomfort.
  • Not suitable for immersion or exposure to pressurised water jets beyond its IPX4 splash-resistance rating.
  • Do not use with damaged, leaking or incompatible batteries; avoid mixing new and used batteries or different chemistries.
  • Children should use the headlamp only under adult supervision due to small parts and batteries.

Adverse Effects

  • Direct viewing of the LEDs at close range may cause temporary glare, afterimages or visual discomfort.
  • Battery leakage can cause skin or eye irritation and may damage the internal contacts or electronics of the headlamp.
  • Prolonged use in very hot environments or misuse (e.g., incorrect batteries) may lead to reduced performance or premature failure.
  • Exceeding rated impact or water-resistance limits (e.g., high falls, immersion) may cause physical damage or malfunction.

Storage Conditions

  • Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and excessive heat.
  • If the headlamp will not be used for extended periods, remove the batteries to minimise the risk of leakage.
  • Avoid storing in very humid, corrosive or dusty environments that could degrade contacts or seals.
  • Keep out of reach of young children, particularly when loaded with batteries.

Duration

Provides up to approximately 4 hours of continuous operation on high white mode and significantly longer runtimes on lower or dimmed modes; overall working life of the headlamp is designed to be up to around 15 years under typical conditions, with only battery replacement required.

Onset

Delivers full available brightness immediately when switched on with correctly installed batteries; dimming adjustments take effect in real time as the button is held.
