    • Clean the frame and upholstery regularly with non-abrasive, non-chlorinated detergents or disinfectants compatible with antimicrobial vinyl, following local infection-control guidelines.
    • Avoid using harsh solvents or abrasive pads that could damage the vinyl surface or frame coating.
    • If any component is damaged (for example, upholstery tears or bent frame), remove the chair from service and consult the supplier or manufacturer for repair or replacement.

    Contraindications

    • Not intended for use as a step, ladder or physical support for standing transfers.
    • Not suitable for users whose weight exceeds the manufacturer’s specified safe working load (contact manufacturer or distributor for current SWL information).
    • Use with caution for patients with severe postural instability or those requiring specialist bariatric or postural-support seating.
    • Do not use if the chair frame, welds, feet or upholstery are visibly damaged or unstable.

    Adverse Effects

    • Incorrect use (e.g. standing on the chair, leaning heavily on backrest, exceeding safe working load) may lead to instability, tipping or mechanical failure and risk of falls.
    • Damaged or poorly maintained upholstery may create snagging points for clothing or skin and may compromise infection-control cleaning.
    • Inappropriate cleaning agents may degrade vinyl upholstery over time, leading to cracking or discolouration.

    Storage Conditions

    • Store indoors in a dry environment when not in use.
    • If stacking multiple chairs, stack only to the height recommended by the manufacturer and on a level surface.
    • Avoid prolonged exposure to direct strong sunlight or high heat sources which may fade or degrade upholstery over time.
    • Do not store outdoors or in damp environments to minimise corrosion risk to the metal frame and degradation of upholstery.
