Description
The Plinth Medical Operators Chair - Standard - Height Range 45-59cm (model 1003) is a height-adjustable operator chair designed for use in medical, clinical and podiatry environments. It features a medium backrest with height and angle adjustment for improved posture and comfort, a gas-lift mechanism for easy seat height adjustment from 45 cm to 59 cm, and a stable 5-castor base. The seat is ergonomically contoured with a width of approximately 48 cm and depth of 43 cm, upholstered in fire-retardant, hardwearing vinyl available in a wide range of Plinth colours to coordinate with examination couches and other furniture. It is intended for clinicians and operators rather than patients, and is suitable for offices, treatment rooms, podiatry clinics and other healthcare settings.

Usage
- Place the chair on a level floor and ensure all castors are in contact with the floor before use.
- Adjust the seat height between approximately 45 cm and 59 cm using the gas-lift control lever under the seat to achieve an ergonomic working position (hips slightly above knees, feet flat on the floor where possible).
- Adjust the backrest height and tilt using the provided adjustment mechanisms to support the lumbar and thoracic spine while working.
- Sit fully back on the seat with the backrest supporting the lower back; avoid perching on the front edge of the seat.
- Periodically check that the gas-lift and backrest adjustments function smoothly; do not use the chair if there is visible damage or instability.
- Clean the vinyl upholstery regularly using approved cleaning agents compatible with Plinth Medical vinyl (refer to Cleaning Guidelines Vinyl PDF) and wipe dry after disinfection.
- Do not exceed the stated maximum load capacity (typically around 150 kg as per distributor specifications).
- Use indoors in clinical or office environments; avoid standing on the chair or using it as a step.

- Use on uneven, sloped or unstable surfaces may compromise stability and is not recommended.
