Advanced Lip Aftercare Balm for Aesthetic Treatments

Description

AfterMED Lips is an advanced, medical-grade lip aftercare treatment developed by AfterMED Skin to support recovery and comfort following aesthetic lip procedures. Designed specifically for post-lip filler, lip blush, lip dissolving, microneedling and other medical or cosmetic lip treatments, this 100% natural, vegan-friendly balm soothes, protects and accelerates healing. Its anhydrous (water-free) formula creates a breathable, antimicrobial barrier over microscopic injection sites, helping to reduce swelling, bruising, redness and discomfort while protecting against bacterial contamination. Featuring a clinically backed blend of plant-derived ingredients including Arnica, Kahai Oil, Colloidal Oats, Coconut Oil and Jojoba Oil, AfterMED Lips deeply nourishes and hydrates the lips, supports the skin barrier and promotes faster recovery. Packaged in a hygienic airless pump and manufactured in the UK under ISO22716 and ISO9001 standards, it is registered on the CPNP and SCPN and insured for post-surgical procedures across the UK and EU.

  • After treatment, with clean hands, apply a thin layer of AfterMED Lips directly to the lips.
  • Manufacturer guidance for post-procedure use commonly recommends applying every 2 hours and before bedtime during the initial healing period (typically the first 2–3 days), or as advised by the practitioner.
  • Faces Consent and other professional distributors advise application every 2 hours and before bed for up to 14 days post-treatment, depending on severity of swelling/bruising and practitioner advice.
  • Reapply as needed whenever lips feel dry, tight or uncomfortable, avoiding excessive rubbing or friction over freshly treated areas.
  • Can continue to be used as a nourishing lip treatment even after visible side effects have resolved, to maintain hydration and comfort.
  • Patients should avoid touching the lips with unwashed hands and avoid picking at any scabs or dry skin during healing.
  • Avoid applying other potentially irritating products (strong acids, retinoids, perfumed lip products) over the treated area until healing is complete.
  • If being used in conjunction with other prescribed topical treatments, follow the practitioner’s instructions on order and frequency of application.
  • Discontinue use and seek medical advice if signs of infection or significant irritation occur (increasing redness, heat, pain, discharge, or rash).

Contraindications

  • Known hypersensitivity or allergy to any of the listed ingredients, including plant oils (e.g. Coconut, Kahai, Jojoba, Sunflower), Arnica, Oat-derived ingredients, Menthol, or fragrance components.

  • Broken, ulcerated or severely compromised lip tissue beyond that expected from the aesthetic procedure, unless advised by a clinician.
  • History of allergic contact dermatitis to similar balms, Arnica-based products, or fragrance-containing lip care.
  • Avoid use in patients with known photosensitivity to included UV filters (e.g. Ethylhexyl Methoxycinnamate, Diethylamino Hydroxybenzoyl Hexyl Benzoate).
  • Not intended for ingestion; avoid use in young children unless specifically directed by a healthcare professional.
