Multivitamin and mineral capsule
Description
Forceval Capsules are a licensed one-a-day multivitamin and mineral medicinal product containing a balanced combination of 24 essential vitamins, minerals and trace elements. Each soft gelatin capsule provides vitamins A, C, D, E and the full B-complex together with key minerals such as iron, calcium, magnesium, zinc, selenium, iodine and others. Forceval is indicated as a therapeutic nutritional adjunct where dietary intake or absorption of vitamins and minerals is suboptimal, including during convalescence from illness or surgery, in malabsorption states, in patients on special or restricted diets and in other situations of increased nutritional need. The capsules are suitable for adults and the elderly and are usually taken once daily after food to support energy metabolism, immune function, recovery and general wellbeing.
Bnefits
- Provides 24 essential vitamins, minerals and trace elements in a single daily capsule to support overall nutritional status.
- Formulated at clinically relevant doses for use as a therapeutic nutritional adjunct in deficiency or increased requirement states rather than as a low-dose cosmetic supplement.
- Supports energy metabolism, immune function, tissue repair and skin, hair and nail health via a comprehensive blend of B vitamins, vitamin C, vitamin A, vitamin E and trace elements.
- Includes iron, folic acid, vitamin B12 and other haematological cofactors to help maintain normal red blood cell formation and reduce tiredness and fatigue due to deficiency.
- Contains vitamin D, calcium, magnesium and phosphorus to support bone health and normal muscle and nerve function.
- Licensed in the UK as a medicinal product (PL 16853/0079) with regulated quality, safety and efficacy standards.
- Once-daily dosing after food improves convenience and adherence compared with multiple separate vitamin and mineral products.
- Soft gelatin capsule presentation with oil-based fill aids absorption of fat-soluble vitamins A, D and E.
Indications
- As a therapeutic nutritional adjunct where intake of vitamins and minerals is suboptimal, for example in the presence of organic disease such as malignancy and immune deficiency syndromes.
- As a therapeutic nutritional adjunct where absorption of vitamins and minerals is impaired, including malabsorption syndromes, inflammatory bowel disease, fistulae, short bowel syndrome and Crohn’s disease, or where concurrent medication reduces vitamin and mineral absorption.
- As a therapeutic nutritional adjunct in convalescence from illness when anorexia, cachexia or reduced dietary intake is present, including after chemo- or radiotherapy.
- As a therapeutic nutritional adjunct in convalescence from surgery when nutritional intake continues to be inadequate.
- As a therapeutic nutritional adjunct for patients on special or restricted diets, for example renal diets or therapeutic weight reduction diets where several food groups are restricted.
- As a therapeutic nutritional adjunct where food intolerance exists and exclusion diets are required.
- As an adjunct in synthetic or highly restricted diets such as phenylketonuria, galactosaemia and ketogenic diets, where broad-spectrum vitamin and mineral replacement is needed as directed by a clinician.
