Description

The Hanning Handswitch H/S1 is a replacement hand control designed for treatment and examination couches fitted with Hanning SL80, SL95 or KL95 linear actuators. Using a pneumatic fitting, it allows the operator to conveniently control couch movements such as raising and lowering from a hand-held switch, providing reliable patient positioning in clinical environments including medical, therapy and aesthetic practices.

Bnefits

  • Compatible with Hanning SL80, SL95 and KL95 actuators used on many medical and therapy couches
  • Pneumatic hand control enables convenient high/low adjustment from the couch side
  • Intended as an OEM-quality spare part for Plinth Medical couches and similar systems
  • Simple, intuitive operation for clinical staff
  • Supports safe and efficient patient positioning during examinations and treatments

Indications

  • Replacement or spare hand control for couches using Hanning SL80, SL95 or KL95 actuators
  • For electrically adjustable medical, therapy or treatment couches in clinics, hospitals and aesthetic practices
  • Situations where hand-operated couch control is preferred over or in addition to a footswitch

Composition

  • Handheld control housing with integrated pneumatic push buttons
  • Pneumatic hose connection compatible with Hanning actuator systems
  • Internal pneumatic switching mechanism designed for SL80/SL95/KL95 actuators

Formulation

  • Non-sterile, reusable pneumatic hand control for medical/treatment couches

Packaging

  • Single Hanning Handswitch H/S1 unit (Plinth Part No: HHS1)

Usage

  • Ensure the couch is disconnected from mains power and secured according to the couch manufacturer’s instructions before installing or replacing the hand switch.
  • Connect the hand switch pneumatic hose to the appropriate Hanning actuator control port, ensuring a secure and leak-free fit.
  • Recheck that the cable/hose routing does not create trip hazards or pinch points around the couch.
  • Reconnect power to the couch and test all hand switch functions (e.g. raise and lower) without a patient on the couch.
  • Use the hand switch buttons to control couch movement during patient positioning, following the couch manufacturer’s operating instructions at all times.
  • Do not allow patients or untrained persons to operate the hand switch.

Contraindications

  • Do not use with actuator systems other than compatible Hanning SL80, SL95 or KL95 units unless confirmed by the couch manufacturer.
  • Do not use if the hand switch housing, hose or connectors appear damaged, cracked, kinked or excessively worn.
  • Not intended for use in explosive or flammable atmospheres unless the entire couch system is specifically approved for such environments.
  • Not intended to be operated by patients or untrained users.

Adverse Effects

  • Potential risk of patient discomfort or minor injury if couch movements are not controlled appropriately while using the hand switch.
  • Pinch or crush hazard to limbs or accessories if moving parts of the couch are not kept clear during adjustment.
  • Trip or entanglement hazard if the hand switch hose is allowed to trail or lie across walkways.

Storage Conditions

  • Store in a clean, dry environment when not installed on a couch.
  • Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, excessive heat, moisture or chemical agents that may degrade plastics or hose materials.
  • Do not place heavy objects on top of the hand switch or hose to avoid deformation or damage.

Duration

Used as needed during each adjustment of the examination or treatment couch; no fixed treatment duration applies.

Onset

Immediate mechanical response of the couch/actuator when the appropriate button is pressed, provided the system is correctly installed and powered.
