The Day Surgery Unit at Prince Philip Hospital (Bryngwyn Mawr, Dafen, Llanelli) is a purpose-built, same-day surgical facility providing planned day-case procedures across multiple specialties (e.g. ENT, General Surgery, Ophthalmology, Orthopaedics, Urology and other elective specialties). The modern unit includes dedicated theatres, stage 1 & 2 recovery areas and ancillary staff facilities. The unit was part of a major capital investment to expand day-case capacity at Prince Philip Hospital and to reduce inpatient admissions and waiting lists across Hywel Dda.
