Description
Terumo Surflo™ Winged Infusion Sets with Protector are sterile, single-use devices designed for safe and easy peripheral intravenous access. The Surshield® needle protection system minimizes needlestick injury risk, while large, interlocking wings and color-coded, kink-resistant tubing ensure secure and comfortable placement.

Indications
- Peripheral intravenous access for administration of fluids, medications, or nutrients
- Aesthetic or dermatology procedures requiring safe IV access
Composition
- Needle: stainless steel, 23G (0.6mm diameter, 19mm length)
- Tubing: PVC or medical-grade flexible polymer, 90mm length
- Winged hub: medical-grade plastic, color-coded blue
- Needle protection shield: Surshield® mechanism
- Latex-free, DEHP-free
Formulation
- Single-use, sterile winged infusion set with needle protection
Packaging
- Box of 50 sterile sets, individually sealed
Usage
- Open sterile packaging carefully
- Insert needle following aseptic technique
- Activate Surshield® safety mechanism with one hand after use
- Dispose in sharps container after single use
Contraindications
- Do not use if packaging is damaged
- Do not use in patients with hypersensitivity to materials
- Do not reuse
Adverse Effects
- Local pain, bruising, or irritation at insertion site
- Potential infection if aseptic technique is not followed
- Needlestick injury if safety mechanism fails or is misused
Storage Conditions
- Store in a clean, dry place at room temperature
- Protect from direct sunlight and excessive heat
- Do not open until ready for use
