Mesotherapy depigmenting & brightening kit with home-care cream
Description
Luminescens Kit is a professional depigmenting and brightening system developed by CMed Aesthetics for the treatment of hyperpigmentation and uneven skin tone on the face and body. The kit combines an in-clinic mesotherapy solution with an at-home maintenance cream to reduce existing pigment and help prevent the formation of new lesions. The protocol targets melasma, chloasma, sun-induced spots and post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation through four synergistic active complexes: melanogenic enzyme blockers (e.g. tyrosinase inhibitors such as tranexamic acid, arbutin, ellagic acid), melanin formation and transport blockers (e.g. copper chelators, MC1R inhibitors, azeloyl diglycinate), keratolytics that accelerate cell turnover (e.g. salicylic acid) and antioxidants/dermo-normalising agents (e.g. glutathione, plant extracts, sodium DNA, hyaluronic acid). The mesotherapy solution is used via microneedling or electroporation in-clinic, while the home cream maintains and enhances results between sessions. The formulation is compatible with all phototypes, oily and dry skin, and offers a depigmenting alternative that does not require occlusive masks or long downtime.
Bnefits
- Complete depigmentation protocol combining professional mesotherapy and home-care cream in a single kit.
- Designed to treat hyperpigmentation on both face and body, including melasma, chloasma, sunspots and post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation.
- Four targeted active complexes: melanogenic enzyme blockers, melanin formation/transport blockers, keratolytics to remove existing melanin and antioxidants/dermo-normalisers to counter free radicals.
- Innovative formulation that provides lightening and brightening without the need for 6–12 hour occlusive masks or significant downtime.
- Compatible with all phototypes (I–VI) and suitable for both oily and dry skin when used under professional supervision.
- Mesotherapy solution contains a high concentration of actives, including tranexamic acid, azelaic derivatives, arbutin, ellagic acid, glutathione and multiple botanical extracts, for multi-pathway pigment control.
- Superficial peeling action promotes epidermal renewal and enhances penetration of active ingredients into deeper dermal layers.
- Home cream extends and maintains the results achieved in-clinic, helping to reduce recurrence of pigmentation when coupled with sun protection.
- Clinically documented improvements in melasma and hyperpigmentation with visible results typically within 30–60 days when used as directed.
- No or minimal impact on daily life compared with classic mask-based depigmentation systems, improving patient comfort and compliance.
Indications
- Hyperpigmentation of the face and body, including melasma and chloasma.
- Solar lentigines and sun-induced dark spots.
- Post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (e.g. after acne or cosmetic procedures), when appropriate for skin type and under professional guidance.

Packaging
- Kit presentation containing:
- • 2 mesotherapy vials/ampoules of 4 ml each (total 8 ml), typically sufficient for approximately 4 full-face treatments depending on protocol and treated area.
- • 1 x 30 ml Luminescens Home Cream for patient use between and after in-clinic sessions.
- Supplied in a branded carton with internal tray to hold the vials and home cream securely.
- Outer packaging labelled with product name, batch/lot number, expiry date, manufacturer and distributor details, and basic usage/indication information.
Usage
- MESOTHERAPY (PROFESSIONAL USE ONLY):
- To be performed by trained medical/aesthetic professionals using mesotherapy or microneedling/electroporation devices.
- Cleanse and disinfect the treatment area thoroughly before application.
- Draw the required amount of Luminescens mesotherapy solution from the 4 ml vial using a sterile syringe, or apply directly as per device protocol.
- Apply using microneedling (e.g. 0.5–1.5 mm depth for facial melasma, depending on device and skin thickness) or through mesotherapy/electroporation as per manufacturer and clinic protocol.
- Treat the affected hyperpigmented areas with multiple passes to evenly deliver the solution into the superficial and mid-dermis, avoiding excessive trauma.
- Typical protocols described in clinical reports use 2–4 in-clinic sessions spaced about 2 weeks (10–15 days) apart, depending on severity and response.
- After treatment, mild erythema is expected; no occlusive mask or long post-treatment waiting period is required, and the patient can usually resume daily activities with appropriate photoprotection.
- HOME CREAM (PATIENT USE):
- Beginning after the first in-clinic session, the patient applies Luminescens Home Cream once daily, usually in the evening, to cleansed, dry skin over the treated areas, massaging until fully absorbed.
- Some protocols advise twice-daily use (morning and evening) depending on skin tolerance and clinician judgement.
- Daily broad-spectrum photoprotection (SPF 50+), re-applied regularly, is mandatory throughout the course of treatment and maintenance, and direct sun exposure should be minimised.
- Avoid concurrent use of other strong irritating agents (e.g. harsh scrubs, high-strength peels, aggressive retinoids) on the same areas unless directed by the supervising clinician.
- Use duration and intensity of both clinic and home treatments must follow the official Luminescens protocol and be tailored by the practitioner to the patient’s skin type, severity of pigmentation and response.
Contraindications
- Known hypersensitivity or allergy to any component of the mesotherapy solution or home cream (e.g. tranexamic acid, salicylic acid, plant extracts, peptides, azelaic derivatives, arbutin, glutathione, hyaluronic acid).
- Active skin infections, inflammatory dermatoses, open wounds, eczema or psoriasis in the intended treatment area.
- History of severe reactions to mesotherapy, microneedling, depigmenting agents or chemical exfoliants in the same region.
- Use in pregnant or breastfeeding patients should be evaluated carefully by a physician, as the protocol contains multiple actives including acids and pigment-modulating agents.
- Patients with very sensitive, highly reactive or compromised skin barrier may require modified protocols, patch testing or avoidance.
- Any medical condition or medication use that contraindicates microneedling/mesotherapy procedures (e.g. uncontrolled diabetes, blood clotting disorders, current systemic immunosuppression) unless cleared by an appropriate medical specialist.
- Professional mesotherapy component is not intended for self-administration at home and should not be used on mucous membranes, peri-ocular areas or lips unless specifically trained and authorised protocols exist.
- Additional contraindications and precautions listed in the official Luminescens protocol and manufacturer documentation must be strictly followed.
Adverse Effects
- Post-procedure transient erythema (redness), mild oedema and a warm sensation at the treated sites following mesotherapy or microneedling, typically resolving within hours to a few days.
- Mild desquamation or flaking due to superficial peeling and increased cell turnover.
- Temporary tightness or dryness that can be relieved with appropriate moisturisers and adherence to aftercare instructions.
- In some patients, transient worsening of pigmentation or post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation may occur if the protocol is not adapted to phototype or if sun protection is inadequate.
- Local irritation, burning or stinging, particularly with home cream application in sensitive skin or if overused.
- Rare allergic or hypersensitivity reactions to one or more active or excipient ingredients, which may present as intense redness, itching, swelling or dermatitis.
- As with any procedure involving microneedling or mesotherapy, there is a low risk of infection, prolonged erythema, bruising or, very rarely, scarring; these risks are mitigated by correct technique and aseptic measures.
- Any unexpected or severe reactions should prompt discontinuation of use and evaluation by the treating clinician, with protocol adjustments or alternative therapies as appropriate.
Storage Conditions
- Store the kit in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat sources.
- Keep mesotherapy vials/ampoules and home cream at a stable room temperature as indicated on the packaging (commonly 15–25°C); avoid freezing.
- Keep containers tightly closed when not in use to protect contents from contamination and degradation.
- Do not use after the expiry date printed on the packaging or if vials/cream show signs of discolouration, phase separation or compromised integrity.
- Store out of reach of children and unauthorised persons; mesotherapy vials must be kept in professional clinic environments.
- Follow any additional storage and handling recommendations in the official Luminescens protocol and on the primary/secondary packaging.
Duration
Commonly recommended protocols involve 2–4 professional mesotherapy sessions spaced approximately 10–15 days (around 2 weeks) apart, combined with daily application of the home cream for the full treatment period (often at least 4–6 weeks). Clinical reports describe visible improvement in melasma and hyperpigmentation within 30–60 days, with ongoing or intermittent home-cream use and strict photoprotection helping maintain results and reduce recurrence. The exact duration is individualised by the treating clinician.
Onset
Initial brightening and reduction in the intensity of hyperpigmented areas are typically observed within a few weeks of starting the protocol, with more pronounced and stable results generally reported after 1–2 months (following several mesotherapy sessions plus consistent home cream use and photoprotection).
