Medical-grade HEPA 14 air purification unit

Description

Clinell Rediair is a portable, medical-grade instant air purification device designed to provide clean air where and when it is needed. Using dual HEPA 14 and activated carbon composite filters with pre-filters and dual centrifugal intake fans, it captures particulates, odours and 99.995% of airborne pathogens (including bacteria, fungi and viral aerosols) and delivers a high clean air delivery rate (CADR) of up to 600 m³/h. Rediair is intended for poorly ventilated spaces in healthcare and other occupied environments and offers multiple operating modes (automatic, manual, turbo and sleep/night) with intelligent particulate sensing, LED air-quality indication, digital touch display, timer and child-lock functions.

Bnefits

  • Instant air purification – begins decontaminating room air within seconds of being switched on.
  • Captures 99.995% of airborne particulates down to 0.3 µm with medical-grade HEPA 14 filtration plus activated carbon.
  • Dual composite HEPA 14 and carbon filters capture 10× more particles than standard HEPA 13 units.
  • High clean air delivery rate (CADR) of up to 600 m³/h, suitable for rooms up to approximately 120 m³ with up to 5 air changes per hour.
  • Traps airborne bacteria, fungal spores and viral aerosols (e.g. influenza, coronaviruses) as well as general particulates and odours.
  • Three-stage decontamination (pre-filter, activated carbon/formaldehyde filter, HEPA 14 filter) for particulates and gases.
  • Ultra-quiet in normal operation with dual fan system designed to minimise noise while maintaining airflow.
  • Four operating modes (automatic, manual/speed selection, turbo, sleep/night) for flexible use in different environments and risk levels.
  • Intelligent particulate sensor with LED air-quality indicator strip that changes colour according to PM2.5 levels.
  • User-friendly digital touch display and remote control for adjusting fan speeds, timer, modes and child lock.
  • Plug-and-play – no installation required; supplied with power cord and filters pre-installed.
  • Supports infection-prevention strategies in healthcare and other shared indoor environments with inadequate ventilation.

Indications

  • Improving indoor air quality in healthcare environments such as hospitals, outpatient clinics, treatment rooms, wards, waiting rooms and triage areas.
  • Use in dental surgeries, aesthetic and dermatology treatment rooms and other clinic rooms where aerosol-generating procedures or prolonged close contact may increase airborne transmission risk.
  • Providing supplemental air purification in care homes, GP surgeries, pharmacies and other primary care or long-term care settings.
  • Use in poorly ventilated workplaces, offices, meeting and conference rooms, classrooms and training rooms to reduce airborne particulate and pathogen load.
  • Reducing concentrations of airborne bacteria, fungi, viral aerosols, dust, pollen and other fine particulates in occupied indoor spaces.
  • Use as part of broader infection-prevention and control protocols, alongside ventilation, surface disinfection, hand hygiene and PPE.

Composition

  • Dual composite HEPA 14 filters with integrated activated carbon layer (two HEPA 14 + carbon filters).
  • Two washable pre-filters (plastic/nylon-type coarse dust pre-filters).
  • Dual centrifugal intake fans with sealed brushless motors.
  • Integrated intelligent particulate (PM2.5) sensor and LED air-quality indicator strip.
  • Digital touch-control panel with display, timer and child-lock functions.
  • Infra-red / light sensor to support automatic and sleep operation modes (depending on firmware/manual version).
  • Metal or high-grade polymer outer housing designed for indoor, stationary operation.
  • Internal electronics and power supply rated for approximately 230 V, 50 Hz mains operation.
  • Remote control powered by 3 V lithium cell (where supplied).

Formulation

  • Mechanical air decontamination via a three-stage filtration system:
  • Stage 1 – Washable pre-filter to capture coarse dust and larger particulates (>5 µm).
  • Stage 2 – Activated carbon/formaldehyde filter to adsorb odours, gases and volatile compounds.
  • Stage 3 – HEPA 14 (H14) high-efficiency particulate air filter to capture fine particulates and airborne pathogens down to 0.3 µm with 99.995% efficiency.
  • Dual side intakes draw room air through the filtration stages and expel purified air from the top outlet, promoting mixing and multiple air changes per hour.

Packaging

  • 1 × Clinell Rediair Air Filtration Unit (medical grade) with dual HEPA 14 composite filters pre-installed.
  • 2 × Pre-filters (installed on each filter side).
  • 1 × Mains power cord (approximately 2 m, 230 V / 50 Hz plug).
  • 1 × Remote control (with battery, where included by manufacturer or reseller).
  • 1 × User / product manual (Instructions for Use).
  • Outer retail / shipping carton with protective internal packaging.

Usage

  • Unbox the device and remove all external packaging materials.
  • Remove the side covers as per the instructions for use and take out the pre-filters and main composite HEPA 14/carbon filters from any protective plastic wrapping, then reinstall them with pull-tabs facing outward.
  • Reinstall the pre-filters and external covers securely on both sides; the unit will not power on if covers are not correctly fitted.
  • Place Rediair indoors on a stable, level surface in the target room, allowing sufficient clearance around air inlets and top outlet; do not block vents or cover the top of the unit.
  • Connect the mains power cord to a suitable 230 V, 50 Hz shockproof wall socket and to the unit.
  • Press the power button on the touch panel (or remote) to switch the device on; Rediair will typically start in automatic mode.
  • In automatic mode, allow the integrated particulate sensor and control system to adjust fan speed according to measured air quality; observe the LED air-quality indicator colour for room status.
  • Alternatively, select manual/speed settings or turbo/sleep modes using the mode and speed buttons to suit the room size, occupancy and desired noise level.
  • Use the timer function (if desired) to run the unit for a specified duration (e.g. 1–12 hours) then automatically switch to standby.
  • Keep doors and windows usage consistent while assessing performance; for maximum air purification, operate Rediair continuously while the room is occupied.
  • Clean the washable pre-filters periodically with water according to the manual and ensure they are fully dry before reinserting.
  • Replace HEPA 14/carbon filters at the frequency recommended by GAMA Healthcare (typically 1–2 times per year depending on use and environment, or when the filter-change indicator is activated).
  • Switch off and unplug the unit before cleaning exterior surfaces, moving the device or performing any maintenance on filters.

Contraindications

  • Do not use outdoors or in environments where the device may be exposed to rain, standing water or excessive moisture.
  • Not suitable for use in explosive atmospheres or areas with flammable gases, vapours or dusts.
  • Do not use in environments with extreme temperatures, humidity or heavy dust beyond the ranges specified by the manufacturer.
  • Do not operate the unit if the housing, power cord, plug or filters are damaged, missing or improperly installed.
  • Not a medical ventilator or respiratory support device and must not be used as a substitute for clinical respiratory equipment or oxygen therapy.
  • Does not replace local exhaust ventilation or fume extraction systems for hazardous chemicals, anaesthetic gases or high-concentration vapours.
  • Do not cover air inlets or outlet, or place the unit where airflow is obstructed.
  • Not intended for use by unsupervised children or individuals unable to understand the operating instructions without appropriate supervision.

Adverse Effects

  • Prolonged exposure to increased airflow may cause local discomfort, dryness or a sensation of draught for some individuals if positioned very close to the outlet.
  • Improper use (e.g. blocking vents, covering the unit, using damaged power cords) may increase the risk of overheating, electrical faults or reduced performance.
  • Dust and particulates accumulated on filters may be released when filters are removed for cleaning or replacement; sensitive individuals should avoid inhaling dust and may wish to wear appropriate PPE (e.g. mask, gloves) during maintenance.
  • Noise at higher fan speeds may be distracting for some users in very quiet environments, although the unit is designed to be relatively quiet in normal operation.
  • As with any electrical appliance, there is a potential risk of electric shock or fire if used contrary to the instructions for use or with damaged electrical components.

Storage Conditions

  • Store indoors in a clean, dry environment away from moisture, rain and direct water sources.
  • Keep out of direct, intense sunlight and away from sources of excessive heat, cold or humidity outside the ranges specified in the product manual.
  • Protect from dust, corrosive or flammable atmospheres and mechanical shock or vibration during transport and storage.
  • Store in original packaging or equivalent protective packaging when not in use or during transport.
  • Ensure the device is fully dry before storage if it has been exposed to cleaning or a damp environment.

Duration

Designed for continuous or repeated use in occupied indoor spaces; can provide up to approximately 5 air changes per hour in a 120 m\u00b3 room when operated at maximum CADR (600 m\u00b3/h). Typical use is for the full period that the room is occupied or whenever enhanced air purification is required.

Onset

Air decontamination begins within seconds of switching the unit on, with substantial reductions in airborne particulate and pathogen levels achieved over the following minutes, depending on room volume, baseline air quality, airflow patterns and selected operating mode.
