Dilution bottle for disinfectant tablets (surface cleaning)

Description

The Actichlor 1 L Dilution Bottle is a reusable plastic mixing and measuring bottle designed for preparing disinfectant solutions from Actichlor chlorine-based tablets. By adding tablets and water to the marked 1 L bottle, users can create virucidal, bactericidal and sporicidal cleaning solutions for disinfection of hard surfaces in clinics, treatment rooms and other healthcare settings. The bottle simplifies accurate dilution and safe handling for infection-control protocols.

Bnefits

  • Provides a simple, accurate and safe way to mix Actichlor tablets into disinfectant solution for surface cleaning
  • Reusable, clearly marked 1 L container reduces waste compared with ad-hoc containers
  • Compatible with Actichlor and Actichlor Plus tablets, allowing preparation of solutions effective against viruses, bacteria, spores, yeasts and moulds
  • Facilitates compliance with infection control and hygiene standards in clinics, dental practices, aesthetic/spa centres and hospitals
  • Leak-proof screw cap and durable plastic construction suitable for repeated use
  • Cost-effective accessory when used with tablet disinfectant systems instead of pre-mixed disinfectant bottles
  • Easy to store and transport; standard 1 L size fits in cleaning trolleys and utility cabinets

Indications

  • Preparation of surface-disinfecting solutions in clinics, hospitals, aesthetic and dermatology practices, dental surgeries and other healthcare settings using Actichlor tablets
  • Cleaning and disinfection of hard surfaces, floors, examination couches, treatment chairs, worktops and other non-porous surfaces
  • Suitable for terminal cleaning, routine decontamination, spill cleanup (including blood spills), and general infection-control protocols as per Actichlor instructions.
  • Use in any setting where effective virucidal and bactericidal disinfection is required

Composition

  • Durable food-grade / medical-grade plastic (opaque), injection-moulded 1-litre container
  • Screw-on cap closure (plastic)
  • Graduated markings for accurate dilution (typically 1 L mark)
  • No preloaded chemicals — intended for mixing with Actichlor tablets and water

Formulation

  • Non-pharmaceutical, reusable utility container – not a drug or chemical in itself
  • Designed for manual preparation of disinfectant solution from solid tablet disinfectants
  • Simple chemical-resistant plastic mixing bottle with screw cap for safe mixing and storage of prepared solution (short-term)

Packaging

  • Single 1 L dilution bottle supplied loose (empty) with screw cap
  • Delivered in protective outer plastic bag or cardboard box depending on supplier
  • Marked with product code (e.g., 408432 or 5560299) and labeled for use with Actichlor / Actichlor Plus tablets

Usage

  • Use only with Actichlor / Actichlor Plus tablets and cold tap water according to tablet pack instructions.
  • Ensure the bottle is clean, intact and the cap is secure before use.
  • Add the required number of Actichlor tablets into the bottle (e.g., 1 tablet per 1 L for 1000 ppm solution) then fill with water up to the 1 L mark.
  • Cap the bottle and allow tablets to fully dissolve; label the bottle with date/time of preparation and concentration.
  • Use the prepared disinfectant solution for cleaning hard surfaces (floors, benches, treatment chairs, trolleys, equipment exteriors) by wiping, mopping or spraying as appropriate.
  • Discard any unused solution after 24 hours (or as per Actichlor guidance) and rinse the bottle thoroughly before subsequent use.
  • Avoid mixing with other cleaning chemicals, and always wear appropriate personal protective equipment (gloves, eye protection) when preparing or using solutions.
  • Do not use on unapproved materials or devices — only for environmental hard-surface disinfection as per official instructions.

Contraindications

  • Do not use the bottle for mixing substances other than Actichlor tablets and water, unless specifically validated by the manufacturer.
  • Do not use if the bottle is cracked, deformed, damaged or the cap does not seal properly.
  • Do not reuse previously prepared disinfectant solution beyond recommended time limits (e.g., 24 hours) as efficacy may degrade.
  • Not intended for use with sterile injectable solutions, biological fluids, or medical device sterilization — only for environmental surface disinfection.

Adverse Effects

  • No direct adverse effects are associated with the bottle itself under normal use; risks arise from incorrect preparation or misuse of disinfectant solutions (e.g., high chlorine concentration, inadequate ventilation, contact with skin/eyes).
  • If contaminated or not cleaned between uses, the bottle could harbor pathogens.
  • Improper disposal of prepared solution may pose environmental or hygiene hazards — follow local waste disposal and infection control protocols.

Storage Conditions

  • Store empty bottle in a clean, dry indoor environment away from direct sunlight and extreme heat.
  • Keep away from corrosive chemicals and sources of contamination.
  • When filled with prepared disinfectant, use promptly and discard per guidelines; do not store solution beyond recommended period (24 hours).
  • Ensure bottle is rinsed and allowed to dry completely between uses.

Duration

Not applicable \u2014 the bottle is a non-therapeutic accessory used for preparing disinfection solutions; solution use occurs immediately after preparation and should be discarded within 24 hours as per Actichlor guidance.

Onset

Not applicable \u2014 the onset of disinfection effect depends on the prepared Actichlor solution and contact time, not the bottle itself.
