Description

Leukoplast Non Sterile 12 Ply Gauze Swabs are 100% cotton, BP Type 13 woven compresses for reliable wound care. Each 10 cm x 10 cm, 12-ply swab is soft, highly absorbent and breathable, designed for wound cleansing, skin preparation, general cleansing and for use as a primary or secondary dressing to absorb exudate and protect the wound. Supplied as a non-sterile pack of 100 swabs, they are manufactured under strict quality control and form part of the Leukoplast compress cotton gauze range for professional wound care.

Usage

Clean hands thoroughly and, where appropriate, wear gloves before handling gauze swabs.
Select an appropriate number of swabs based on wound size and exudate level.
Use swabs to gently cleanse the wound and surrounding skin and/or to absorb exudate.
Apply swabs as a primary or, more commonly, secondary dressing as directed by a healthcare professional.
Secure in place with an appropriate fixation method such as tape, bandage or adhesive dressing if used as a cover dressing.
Single use only: dispose of used swabs after each procedure; do not reuse or reprocess.
Dispose of used swabs and packaging according to local clinical waste regulations.
