The Bariatric Ultrasound Couch (Plinth Medical Model 50CT) is a specialist heavy-duty scanning couch designed to meet the challenges of handling overweight and clinically obese patients. With a safe working load and lifting capacity of 320 kg, the couch features electric operation of height, tilt (including Trendelenburg) and backrest, together with a manually adjustable leg rest that can drop to –90° for lower limb and vascular procedures. The extra-wide, rigid frame and couch top provide exceptional strength and stability, while 140 mm hoist clearance and retractable castors give excellent hoist and floor access in imaging rooms. Comfort foam, hardwearing anti-microbial vinyl upholstery and a removable fold-back arm rest support both patient comfort and infection control, making this couch an ideal solution for ultrasound departments managing bariatric patients.
