  • Before seating or positioning a client/patient, adjust the couch height using the electric control to a safe transfer height and lock the retractable castors if applicable.

  • Use the breathing hole and plug for prone treatments to improve comfort and alignment of the head and neck.
  • Do not exceed the stated safe working load of 250 kg and ensure the client/patient remains within the usable surface of the couch.
  • After each treatment, return the couch to a neutral or low position, remove any accessories and clean the upholstery with a suitable approved cleaner/disinfectant compatible with antimicrobial vinyl.
  • Inspect the couch, electrical cables, upholstery and moving parts regularly for signs of wear or damage; follow manufacturer instructions for maintenance and contact an authorised service provider if any issues are identified.
  • Do not modify the couch, attach non-approved accessories or use it in environments not recommended by the manufacturer (for example, wet rooms or explosive atmospheres).

Contraindications

  • Use with patients whose weight exceeds the stated safe working load and lifting capacity of 250 kg.
  • Use on uneven, unstable or inappropriate flooring where couch stability cannot be guaranteed.
  • Use in environments where the IPx4 electrical rating and medical Class I classification are not suitable (for example, specific high-risk or specialist environments requiring different equipment).
  • Use if the frame, upholstery, castors, hoist clearance area or electrical components show visible damage or malfunction.
  • Use without appropriate supervision and precautions when treating patients with significant mobility, balance or medical issues that increase risk of falls or injury during transfer.

Adverse Effects

  • If improperly used or if weight limits are exceeded, there is a risk of mechanical failure, which could lead to patient or operator injury.
  • Incorrect positioning or inadequate support may contribute to patient discomfort or musculoskeletal strain during prolonged procedures.
  • Failure to clean and maintain the antimicrobial vinyl upholstery according to instructions may increase the risk of cross-contamination or infection in clinical environments.
  • Trip or electric hazards may arise if power cables are not managed correctly or if the couch is used inappropriately near water sources.

Storage Conditions

  • Intended for use and storage in indoor clinical, salon or spa environments.
  • Store and operate on a level, dry surface away from direct water exposure, corrosive chemicals and excessive humidity.
  • Avoid prolonged exposure of upholstery to direct sunlight or heat sources to prevent fading or damage to antimicrobial vinyl.
  • Disconnect from mains power if the couch will not be used for an extended period and during maintenance.
  • Do not store heavy items on top of the couch surface when not in use, to maintain foam and upholstery integrity.

Duration

Not directly applicable; the couch is a piece of furniture and equipment used to support clients during treatments of varying duration. Individual treatment times are determined by the clinical or beauty procedure being performed.

Onset

Not applicable; as a non-therapeutic support device, the couch itself does not have a pharmacological onset of effect. Its benefits (comfort, positioning and access) are immediate upon proper use.
