Blunt-tip microcannulas for aesthetic injection procedures

Description

JBP Nano Cannula 30G x 25mm is an ultra-thin walled, blunt-tip microcannula from Japan Bio Products designed specifically for high-precision aesthetic injection procedures. With a 30G outer diameter and 25 mm length, the cannula combines a thin wall and wide inner bore to allow low-resistance injection of fillers and other injectable solutions, while its flexible shaft and micro-polished side port minimise trauma to hypodermal tissues. The device is intended to reduce bruising, swelling and downtime compared with conventional sharp needles, and is supplied sterile with a corresponding sharp introducer (punching) needle.

Bnefits

  • Ultra-thin walled 30G cannula with wide inner diameter for smooth, low-resistance injection
  • Blunt-tip design to help reduce the risk of vascular injury and soft-tissue trauma compared with sharp needles
  • Micro-polished cannula port manufactured with special technology for smoother tissue penetration and reduced friction
  • Designed to reduce damage to hypodermal tissues, resulting in less downtime and less internal bleeding
  • High flexibility of the cannula shaft to navigate tissue planes and cover wider areas from fewer entry points
  • Improved patient comfort with less pain during treatment when used with appropriate technique
  • Sterile single-use device supplied with a matching sharp punching needle in each blister
  • Suitable for delicate aesthetic areas where fine-gauge, precise delivery is required

Indications

  • Use as a blunt-tip microcannula for injection of dermal fillers (e.g. hyaluronic acid-based fillers) in aesthetic procedures
  • Facial volumisation and contouring in appropriate anatomical planes, including cheeks, nasolabial folds, marionette lines and jawline, as clinically indicated
  • Fine, superficial aesthetic treatments in delicate areas where a 30G, 25 mm cannula is suitable according to practitioner judgement
  • Other minimally invasive aesthetic or dermatological injection procedures where a sterile, single-use 30G blunt cannula is indicated and within the practitioner’s scope of practice

Composition

  • Cannula shaft: medical-grade stainless steel, ultra-thin walled tubing (30G)
  • Cannula tip: blunt tip with micro-polished side port opening
  • Introducer (punching) needle: sharp stainless steel needle supplied in the same blister for creating the entry point
  • Hub: luer-lock compatible plastic hub for secure connection to standard syringes
  • Packaging materials: sterile blister pack and labelled outer carton

Formulation

  • Gauge: 30G (outer diameter approximately 0.30 mm)
  • Length: 25 mm
  • Ultra-thin wall design with enlarged inner diameter to allow easier flow of viscous fillers through a fine gauge
  • Blunt-tip microcannula with side-port injection opening, finished using micro-polishing technology
  • Flexible shaft to facilitate fanning and threading techniques from a limited number of entry points
  • Each sterile unit supplied as a set including 1 Nano Cannula and 1 sharp punching needle
  • Typically supplied as 24 pieces per box for professional clinic use; some distributors also offer packs of 4 or single cannulas

Packaging

  • Primary packaging: individual sterile blister pack containing one 30G x 25 mm JBP Nano Cannula and one matching sharp punching needle
  • Secondary packaging: carton/box containing 24 sterile blister packs (24 cannulas + 24 punching needles) for clinic use
  • Some distributors may offer repackaged quantities (e.g. pack of 4 cannulas) clearly labelled for professional use
  • Outer packaging labelled with gauge, length, lot number, expiry date, CE mark, manufacturer and country of origin

Usage

  • For professional use only by appropriately trained and qualified healthcare practitioners experienced in aesthetic injection techniques.
  • Verify the integrity of the sterile blister and check the expiry date before use; do not use if the package is damaged or expired.
  • Prepare the treatment area following standard aseptic protocol.
  • Use the supplied sharp punching needle to create a small entry point in the skin at the selected access site.
  • Attach the JBP Nano Cannula 30G x 25mm securely to a luer-lock syringe prefilled with the chosen dermal filler or injectable solution.
  • Insert the blunt cannula tip gently through the entry point and advance along the appropriate anatomical plane with minimal force, following the planned injection pattern.
  • Inject the product slowly and with controlled pressure; the thin wall and wide inner diameter are designed to reduce injection resistance.
  • After completing the treatment, carefully withdraw the cannula and apply light pressure if necessary to minimise bruising.
  • Dispose of the used cannula and punching needle immediately as sharps in accordance with local clinical waste regulations; the device is single-use and must not be resterilised or reused.

Contraindications

  • Do not use in patients with known hypersensitivity or allergy to stainless steel or any material in the device.
  • Do not use on or through areas of active skin infection, inflammation, or disease at the intended entry or treatment site.
  • Not suitable for applications requiring cutting or incising of tissue; the device is a blunt-tip cannula intended only for injection in tissue planes.
  • Do not use if sterility is compromised, packaging is damaged, or the product is past the marked expiry date.
  • Use of the cannula is also contraindicated when the injectable product being administered is itself contraindicated for the patient or treatment area.

Adverse Effects

  • Common injection-site reactions such as transient pain or discomfort at the entry point.
  • Local bruising, swelling, erythema or tenderness at or around the injection site.
  • Haematoma formation or vascular compromise may rarely occur, particularly if injection technique or anatomical plane selection is inappropriate.
  • Infection at the injection site if aseptic technique is not followed.
  • Mechanical issues such as bending or kinking of the cannula if excessive force is applied; a damaged cannula should be discarded and replaced.

Storage Conditions

  • Store in a clean, dry place at approximately 15–30 °C in the original sealed packaging.
  • Protect from direct sunlight, excessive heat, moisture and mechanical stress.
  • Do not freeze or subject the product to extreme temperatures or crushing loads that could deform the cannulas or blisters.
  • Keep in sterile blister and unopened carton until required for use, and observe the stated expiration date (shelf life typically up to 36 months from sterilisation).

Duration

Not directly applicable to the device; JBP Nano Cannula 30G x 25mm is a single-use instrument employed during individual aesthetic treatment sessions.

Onset

Not directly applicable to the device; reduced bruising, swelling and discomfort may be observed immediately compared with sharp-needle techniques, while overall treatment results depend on the injected product and clinical protocol.
