Usage
- For use only by appropriately trained and competent phlebotomists or healthcare professionals in accordance with local clinical governance, infection prevention and venepuncture guidelines.
- Before use, confirm that all consumables (e.g. BD Vacutainer sets, tubes, swabs) are within their expiry dates and packaging is intact.
- Select appropriate vacutainer tubes (grey, lavender, gold) according to the requested laboratory tests and follow local order-of-draw and labelling protocols.
- Use the BD Vacutainer Safety Lok Blood Collection Set and alcohol swabs according to manufacturer instructions and local venepuncture policy to obtain samples safely.
- Apply cotton balls and plasters after needle withdrawal according to usual post-phlebotomy practice.

Contraindications

Adverse Effects
