Vital Signs Monitor Spare Part / Printer Frame Assembly

Description

The Welch Allyn 630-0214-10 Printer Frame Assembly is an original equipment replacement component designed specifically for the Welch Allyn Vital Signs Monitor 300 Series (VSM 300). It provides the mechanical mounting frame and support structure for the optional integrated thermal printer module at the rear of the monitor, allowing secure housing of the printer mechanism and door while maintaining correct alignment within the monitor chassis. This OEM assembly is intended to restore or maintain printer functionality when the original frame has been damaged or worn.

Bnefits

  • Genuine Welch Allyn OEM replacement part for the VSM 300 Vital Signs Monitor
  • Ensures correct fit, alignment and secure mounting of the integrated thermal printer module
  • Helps restore or maintain reliable printing of patient vital signs data
  • Designed to integrate seamlessly with the VSM 300 rear chassis and printer well
  • Supplied as a complete frame assembly for straightforward service replacement by qualified personnel

Indications

  • Replacement of a damaged, worn or broken printer frame assembly in a Welch Allyn VSM 300 Vital Signs Monitor equipped with an integrated thermal printer
  • Use during servicing or refurbishment of VSM 300 monitors where the printer frame assembly requires renewal to ensure secure printer mounting and correct operation

Composition

  • Moulded plastic printer frame with integrated side rails for insertion into the VSM 300 rear chassis printer well
  • Two forward-supporting frame "legs" designed to engage in the chassis bulkhead slots
  • Mounting points and spindles to accept the printer mechanism and printer door assembly (printer mechanism and door supplied separately)

Formulation

  • Not applicable – non-sterile hardware spare part with no pharmaceutical or topical formulation

Packaging

  • Single printer frame assembly supplied as an individual OEM spare part, packed in protective outer packaging suitable for transport and storage

Usage

  • Installation should be performed by appropriately trained technical or biomedical personnel familiar with the Welch Allyn VSM 300 service manual.
  • Power down the VSM 300 Vital Signs Monitor, disconnect it from mains power and remove the battery as instructed in the service documentation before beginning work.
  • Remove the existing printer assembly and frame from the rear chassis printer well following the disassembly procedure in the VSM 300 service manual.
  • Orient the new printer frame assembly so that the side rails align with the slotted side latches in the monitor’s rear printer well and the two frame legs face forward toward the bulkhead slots.
  • Partially insert the frame assembly into the printer well, guiding the rear side rails into the slotted side latches.
  • Align the bottoms of the two frame legs with the bulkhead slots and push the frame fully into place until the side rails engage and the legs click into the vertical slots.
  • Reinstall the printer mechanism and reconnect the printer flex cable and board as described in the service manual, ensuring the printer board sits flat in the chassis guides.
  • Reattach and latch the printer door onto the frame spindles, then reassemble the monitor housing and perform a functional test print according to the manufacturer’s instructions.

Contraindications

  • Not intended for direct patient contact or for use as a stand-alone medical device
  • Do not use if the part is visibly damaged, warped or cracked, as this may prevent secure seating of the printer assembly

Adverse Effects
