Description
Single-use probe covers designed for use with Braun ThermoScan ear thermometers, including models 4520, IRT6020, IRT6520 and the Braun/Welch Allyn ThermoScan Pro 4000 and Pro 6000 professional thermometers. Each cover fits securely over the thermometer probe to help ensure accurate temperature readings and to minimise the risk of cross-contamination between patients. Usage
- Ensure hands are clean and the Braun ThermoScan ear thermometer is ready for use according to the device instructions.
- Remove a single probe cover from the dispensing box, avoiding contact with the tip that will enter the ear canal.
- Attach the probe cover to the thermometer by pushing the probe into the cover holder until it clicks or locks into place, following the Braun ThermoScan Pro 4000/6000 probe cover installation guide.
- Confirm that the cover is securely seated and fully covering the probe tip before inserting the thermometer into the patient’s ear.
- Measure the temperature according to the thermometer’s operating instructions.
- After measurement, eject and discard the used probe cover into an appropriate clinical waste container; do not attempt to reuse.
- Fit a new probe cover before taking the next patient’s temperature.

Contraindications
