The stool features a padded circular seat with a 40 cm diameter and 8 cm depth for comfortable support during examinations and procedures. A compact 53 cm diameter 5-star base maximises legroom and manoeuvrability in tight treatment rooms, while the all-around release ring provides convenient, 360° access to the gas-lift mechanism for quick and easy height adjustment between 45 cm and 59 cm. The stool is supplied with a polished aluminium base, chrome gas strut and twin-wheel castors, and is available in the full Plinth Medical upholstery colour range to coordinate with couches and other furniture. Usage

  • Place the assembled stool on a level floor surface and ensure all castors move freely.
  • To adjust seat height, sit or partially load the seat, then lift the all-around release ring underneath the seat to lower or raise; release the ring to lock the gas strut at the desired height.
  • Set the height so that hips are approximately level with or slightly above the knees and the clinician can work with a neutral, comfortable posture.
  • Use the stool only on suitable indoor floor surfaces; avoid steep ramps or uneven flooring that may compromise stability.
  • Do not stand on the stool or use it as a step; it is designed only for seated use.
  • Where infection-control protocols require, wipe the vinyl seat and exposed metal surfaces between patients with approved healthcare detergents/disinfectants that are compatible with the upholstery.
  • Regularly inspect the seat, base, gas strut and castors for signs of wear, looseness or damage; remove from service and arrange repair or replacement if any issues are identified.
  • If optional accessories (e.g. foot height control, arm support) are fitted, use them only as described in the accessory instructions and check their fixings periodically.

Contraindications

  • Use by individuals whose body weight exceeds the manufacturer’s stated maximum user weight (refer to latest product literature).
