  • Modular shower chair with removable backrest and armrests
  • Contoured plastic seat with front hygiene opening
  • Telescopic aluminium legs providing 7 height adjustment positions
  • Non-slip ferrules on each leg for improved stability on wet floors

Packaging

  • Supplied flat-packed in a single carton
  • Includes seat with hygiene opening, backrest, two armrests, four telescopic legs and non-slip feet
  • Assembly instructions/user manual included

Usage

  • Unpack all components and assemble the chair following the supplied user manual, ensuring all clips and joints are securely engaged.
  • Adjust each telescopic leg to the desired height (42–57 cm seat height), ensuring all legs are set to the same level and locking mechanisms are fully engaged.
  • Place the chair on a flat, stable surface in the shower or wet room, ensuring all feet are in full contact with the floor and do not rock.
  • Check that the armrests and backrest are firmly clipped into place if they are being used.
  • Before each use, visually inspect the chair for damage, loose parts or excessive wear, and verify that the legs and feet are secure.
  • The user should step carefully into the shower area, turn, hold the armrests as needed, and sit centrally on the seat, keeping weight evenly distributed.
  • Use the front hygiene opening for easier access during personal and intimate washing where appropriate.
  • After use, rinse off soap and residues and dry the chair or allow it to air-dry in a well-ventilated area.
  • Clean regularly with a mild detergent or approved surface disinfectant compatible with plastic and aluminium surfaces.
  • Periodically check the condition of the non-slip feet and replace them if worn or damaged to maintain stability.

Contraindications

  • Users whose body weight exceeds the maximum rated capacity of 130 kg
  • Use on uneven, highly sloped or unstable flooring where all four feet cannot rest firmly and evenly
  • Use by individuals who cannot maintain a seated position safely without appropriate supervision or support
  • Use as a step, ladder, standing platform or for purposes other than seated showering
  • Use in bathtubs or locations where the chair cannot be positioned with full foot contact and stability

Adverse Effects

  • Risk of slipping or falling if the chair is incorrectly adjusted, placed on an unstable surface or used contrary to instructions
  • Potential skin discomfort or pressure in cases of prolonged sitting without repositioning
  • Risk of minor pinching or trapping of skin or clothing at moving/adjustable parts if handled carelessly during adjustment
  • Potential corrosion or material degradation if cleaned with unsuitable chemicals or left in standing water for prolonged periods

Storage Conditions

  • Store in a clean, dry indoor environment when not in use.
  • Avoid long-term exposure to direct sunlight or extreme temperatures that could degrade plastic or rubber components.
  • Ensure the chair is dry before long-term storage to minimise risk of corrosion or mould growth.
  • If disassembled for transport or storage, keep all components together and protect from impact or bending of aluminium tubes.

Duration

Used intermittently for the duration of each shower or personal hygiene session, as required by the user or care plan.

Onset

Immediate post-assembly and positioning; provides support and stability as soon as the user sits on the chair.
