Description

The Plinth Medical Double Couch Step is a strong, powder-coated two-tier step designed to help patients safely mount and dismount examination and treatment couches. It features an anti-slip tread on each step and rubber feet to prevent movement on smooth clinical floors. With a compact footprint and two step heights (185 mm and 310 mm), it provides stable, secure access support in hospitals, clinics and treatment rooms.

Usage

Place the double couch step on a flat, stable surface adjacent to the examination or treatment couch.
Ensure all rubber feet are in full contact with the floor and that the step does not rock or slide before patient use.
Position the step so that patients can step up facing the couch, using nearby supports (e.g. couch edges or handrails) as available and appropriate.
Assist patients with reduced mobility or balance according to local manual-handling protocols.
After use, wipe down and disinfect the step surfaces in line with the facility’s infection-prevention and cleaning procedures.
Periodically check the step for signs of damage, loose components or excessive wear to anti-slip surfaces and rubber feet; remove from service if safety is compromised.

Contraindications

Not suitable for use on uneven, unstable or heavily sloped floors where the step cannot sit firmly.
