  • Before use, ensure the retractable castors are set appropriately (wheels locked when performing procedures) and the couch is stable.
  • Adjust the couch height, backrest angle and Trendelenburg tilt using the electric controls (hand or foot switch, depending on configuration) to achieve the desired patient position.
  • Position the leg supports and adjust their height and angle to support the patient’s lower limbs for gynaecological or colposcopy procedures.
  • Set the height-adjustable arm loops to provide comfort and security for the patient’s arms as required.
  • Use the seat cut-out area and, where fitted, the removable seat extension to tailor patient positioning and allow for recovery positioning.
  • Fit and position the removable stainless debris tray beneath the seat cut-out to collect debris and fluids during procedures; remove and clean between patients according to infection-control policies.
  • After each patient, clean the vinyl upholstery, arm supports, leg supports and tray with suitable disinfectants compatible with the upholstery, following local infection-prevention protocols and manufacturer recommendations.
  • Regularly inspect the couch, upholstery, electrical cables and moving parts for signs of wear or damage, and arrange servicing in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions and local medical-device maintenance policies.
