Usage
Place the chair on a level, stable surface suitable for castor-based seating.
Adjust seat height using the gas-lift control so that feet are flat on the floor and knees are approximately at a right angle.
Use the seat slide control to set seat depth so that there is a small gap between the front of the seat and the back of the knees.
Inflate or deflate the lumbar support to provide comfortable support in the lower back region.
Adjust the backrest height and angle to support the spine in a neutral posture.
Set the seat tilt as preferred to optimise comfort and weight distribution.
Adjust armrest height to support forearms without lifting shoulders; fold armrests down when closer access to work surfaces or patients is required.
Periodically inspect the chair, including castors and adjustment mechanisms, for wear or damage; remove from service and repair/replace if any safety issues are identified.
Clean upholstery and hard surfaces with suitable detergents or disinfectants recommended for the chosen covering, following the manufacturer’s cleaning and maintenance guidance.
Contraindications
Not suitable for users exceeding the maximum rated user weight of 150 kg (23 stone).
Not designed as a specialist pressure-relief, postural management or restraint chair; patients with complex seating or pressure-management needs should be assessed for appropriate specialist seating.
Adverse Effects
Incorrect adjustment (e.g. poor seat height or backrest position) may contribute to discomfort or musculoskeletal strain during prolonged use.
Use by individuals with significant mobility limitations without appropriate supervision may increase risk of falls when sitting or standing.
Storage Conditions
Intended for indoor use in dry, temperature-controlled environments.
Keep away from direct heat sources (radiators, heaters) that may damage upholstery or frame components.
Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight to minimise fading or degradation of upholstery.
