The Plinth 2000 Fixed Height Practice Couch with Two Drawers is a robust, practical examination and treatment couch designed for GP surgeries, clinics and treatment rooms. It features a strong powder-coated steel frame, a fixed-height two-section top with a manually adjustable backrest, integrated paper roll holder and two smooth-running storage drawers beneath the couch. The failsafe manual backrest mechanism allows adjustment from 0° (flat) to 85° for seated or semi-reclined examinations. Fully washable, fire-retardant vinyl upholstery is available in three standard colours (Beige, Mid Blue and Dark Blue). With a safe working load of up to 225 kg (35 stone), adjustable foot for uneven floors and the ability to lie completely horizontal for patient recovery in emergencies, this couch offers a dependable, low-maintenance solution for everyday clinical use.

Usage
- Position the couch on a firm, level surface; use the adjustable foot to correct for minor floor unevenness.

- Fit an appropriate width of paper roll to the paper roll holder and pull paper over the couch surface for each patient to maintain hygiene.
- Use the integrated drawers to store lightweight clinical items and disposables; do not overload beyond recommended capacity.
- For emergency situations or when flat positioning is clinically indicated, return the backrest to the 0° horizontal position.
- Clean the vinyl upholstery and frame between patients using approved healthcare detergents/disinfectants compatible with fire-retardant vinyl, following local infection-control policies.
- Periodically check fixings, drawer runners, backrest mechanism and frame for signs of wear or damage; arrange repair or replacement parts through Plinth Medical or an authorised distributor if needed.
Contraindications
