Usage
- Place the stool on a clean, level and stable floor surface appropriate for wheeled clinical furniture.
- To adjust height, operate the all-round ring-release lever while applying or releasing weight from the stool to raise or lower within the 48–62 cm range, then release the ring to lock at the desired height.
- If fitted, use the optional foot height control pedal to adjust stool height hands-free while maintaining hand position on the ultrasound probe or controls.
- Position the stool so the clinician can sit close to the patient with adequate legroom and easy access to the imaging equipment.
- Check that all components (base, castors, gas column and any accessories) are secure and that the stool rolls and rotates smoothly before use.
- Clean vinyl upholstery and hard surfaces between patients using approved detergents or disinfectant wipes compatible with Chieftain "Just Colour" healthcare vinyl.
- Avoid standing on the stool, sitting on the edge of the seat, or using it for any purpose other than clinician seating.
- Perform regular visual checks of upholstery, gas lift, ring-release mechanism, optional foot control and castors; remove the stool from service and arrange maintenance or replacement if any damage or instability is observed.
Contraindications
