Description

The Plinth Medical Saddle Stool - Standard (Model 1018) is an ergonomically designed operator stool providing anatomically correct seating at an affordable price. It features a saddle-shaped, tilting seat on a five-castor gas-lift base to promote a straight back posture and improve comfort during extended clinical procedures. The standard model offers a height range of 45–59 cm and uses a 53 cm diameter base to maximise legroom. Upholstered in durable, fire-retardant vinyl available in a wide choice of colours to match treatment couches, the stool is suitable for use in medical, dental, podiatry and aesthetic treatment rooms.

Usage

Place the stool on a flat, stable floor surface before use.
Adjust the seat height within the 45–59 cm range using the gas-lift lever so that hips are slightly higher than knees to encourage an upright posture.
Use the seat tilt adjustment to achieve a comfortable working angle while maintaining spinal alignment.
Sit centrally on the saddle seat and roll the stool using the castors rather than twisting the spine.
Periodically check that castors and gas strut function correctly and that all components remain securely fitted.
Clean upholstery and base with appropriate clinic-grade detergents in line with local infection control policies.

Contraindications

Do not use if the base, gas strut or castors appear damaged or unstable.
Not suitable for use on uneven or heavily sloped floor surfaces.
