Description
The Welch Allyn Diagnostic Set Basic Otoscope & Coaxial Ophthalmoscope 117 LED & 250 (C-cell) is a 3.5 V diagnostic set combining a SureColor LED Coaxial Ophthalmoscope head (11720-L), a Basic Diagnostic Otoscope head (250-2/238-2 family), and a metal nickel-cadmium rechargeable power handle (71000-C) that can also run on standard C-cell batteries. The set is supplied in a hard carry case and is designed for routine ear and eye examination in primary care and specialist clinical settings. This configuration corresponds to Welch Allyn diagnostic set model 71-SS2CXX, which has replaced legacy 97200-series halogen coaxial ophthalmoscope/otoscope sets.
Bnefits
Provides both ear and eye examination tools in a single portable diagnostic set.
Includes a 3.5 V SureColor LED Coaxial Ophthalmoscope (11720-L) for bright, long-lasting, shadow-reduced retinal visualization.
Basic diagnostic otoscope (250-2/238-2 family) offers clear, magnified views of the external auditory canal and tympanic membrane.
Metal nickel-cadmium rechargeable handle (71000-C) can be converted for use with standard C-cell batteries for flexibility.
Knurled, chrome-plated brass handle provides a durable, non-slip grip in clinical use.
Compatible with Welch Allyn 3.5 V desk chargers, well chargers and integrated wall systems for convenient recharging.
Supplied in a fitted hard case to protect instruments during transport and storage.
LED illumination reduces bulb replacement frequency compared with traditional halogen lamps.
