Description
The Coast TX10 is a compact quad-colour LED torch that provides white, red, green and blue light in a single handheld unit. It uses COAST’s Utility Beam diffused flood design in white, red, green and blue, producing an 80-lumen white beam with a broad, general-purpose pattern and a brighter centre spot, plus three coloured beams tailored for specific low-light applications and signalling. White light serves as an all-purpose beam for most tasks; red light is intended to preserve night vision and reduce glare when reading maps or working in dark environments; green light is promoted for low-light use where reduced visibility to animals is desirable; and blue light is promoted for use in foggy conditions and for specialised applications such as tracking and certain forensic/medical visual tasks according to manufacturer marketing materials. The TX10’s aluminium body is impact-resistant and weather-resistant, with water resistance specified to IPX4 by multiple distributors. It runs on three AAA alkaline batteries and offers a quoted runtime of around 9 hours 45 minutes (approximately 9.75 hours) with a beam range of about 33 metres (108 ft). Separate colour-coded push-button switches provide independent on/off control of each output colour. The TX10 is supplied with batteries in clamshell or carded packaging depending on the channel, and is backed by COAST’s limited lifetime warranty against defects in materials and workmanship, with a 5-year warranty statement shown on some retailer listings. Performance is tested and rated to ANSI/FL1 flashlight standards.
